I love having this kind of liner because they keep the piggies' poop & pee inside the box instead of inside the coroplast if the GuineaDad liner is flipped back. The reason I give it a 4 stars is because it's pricey and the most recent liner swap, one button broke. So I have to use clip to keep one corner together. Other than that minor issue, I love it! Planning to get a few more after Christmas.
This is a nice thick pad with an excellent barrier to keep accidental urine or water bowl spills from reaching or soaking into the carpet/floor and it washes well. I only gave it four stars because the fit for the same size crate is about 2" off all around, so the sides don't stay up even when snapped together. I haven't tried drying this in the dryer to try to shrink it slightly, but I might tumble it on low for a few minutes. I just hope it doesn't lose its ability to deter wetness after doing so. Otherwise it's super cute, colorful, and works as expected for the most part.
I have both guinea pigs and rabbits for several years and have tried EVERYTHING in the book (GUINEADAD, fleece, aspen litter, paper litter, newspaper, etc)! These mats are a lifesaver! I wish I had known about these when I first got my pets - I would've have saved so much time, energy, and $$$!! I have had these mats for over 2 years and there has been NO SHRINKAGE (and I have several)!! I have been using the same mats this whole time (no replacements still!). They haven't been falling apart either, they're pretty sturdy. I follow their care label and always wash in cold water, with vinegar and some detergent (: Using fleece I would always have issues with hay & poop sticking to the mats, but NOTHING sticks to these! They're super easy to shake off into a garbage bag, and then I vaccum any dust on them to ensure that nothing will get into my washer! This has helped with my lifestyle so much as well (I have chronic pain!). After all the time they've been used, they're still plush and soft, AND absorbent! I much prefer these than to any litter / bedding solution , especially GUINEADAD as they're about the same price (and these perform SOOOO much better !!!) For reference I have a midwest cage for my guinea pigs (fits perfectly !!!) And I free range my rabbits, their mats are under their litterbox & food area for any spillage from their water bowl or accidents !
I like that this mat has the sides that go up. Helps keep the mess off the floor.
So I just got three rat babies who are very messy. Was excited to see this item, thinking it would provide a barrier and depth to keep the bedding from being strewn all over the floor. Regrettably, the 3 inch tall sides do not stand up against the cage wall and the rat babies love to crawl underneath, and so much for neatness. Good concept, but I think the sides should have been sturdier. Not exactly a cheap item and regrettably does not serve its purpose. I'm keeping it because I'm too lazy to return it.
We bought this liner for the 2x4 c&c cage. Pre-wash it is a perfect fit. We are doing our first wash, so we will see if it shrinks as some others have said. So far, it's all pros: 1) Raised sides and corner pieces keep 99% of bedding, poop and urine from getting on the coroplast. 2) It's extremely easy to spot clean. We take it out of the cage and set it on the floor and run our vacuum over it. Comes out looking brand new with no residual residue, hay or fibers stuck to it. This means I feel comfortable putting it in our washing machine with a fleece/wool safe detergent. 3) We use it as a base to wick up extra moisture, but also so we can cinch up bedding for easy disposal (we use paper bedding on top). The combination of the two means minimal wetness and odor gets to the liner, so we only have to wash the liner every 3 full cage cleanings. I have never had any liquids get through to the coroplast, nor does the fleece ever feel wet to the touch. We bought 2 of these so we can change out when the other is being washed. 5 stars. I'll only change if it does in fact shrink up.
I absolutely love the critter box! It's so soft for my guniea pig's paws. The raised sides are a gamechanger. It's very easy to clean and sweep. I take mine outside and shake off the hay, poop etc and then throw it in the wash. Really happy with this purchase!
I couldn't find a size to exactly fit my cage, but if this product was a true fit to the cage, it would be perfect! The high sides keep everything in and I can snap the edges to the cage so they don't fall down. Love this! Washes easily.
We recently changed from bedding to Paw Inspired Cage Liners. We also use the Paw Inspired PopCorner Cage Liners. They are awesome! Definitely worth it.
This is the best liner you can get for cage. It's a bit pricey but its 100% worth it. The liner is so easy to sweep between the cage cleanings, nothing gets stuck to it. It's waterproof and fits the cage I have perfectly. The liner is very durable and washable. I would recommend air drying it instead of using dryer.
