I've tried a few different brands of liners and I can honestly say these are the best ones I've ever had. They are so easy to sweep away hay and mess. Also super easy to spot clean. I don't notice pee smell like I did with others or with disposable bedding. I just bought a second one two switch when I have to wash the other. Would definitely recommend these for use in a guinea pig cage!
I have 3 of these that I rotate and I have now washed them all 2 times, 2/3 have had the stitching come apart on them around the boarder and on 1/3 the corners that have the extra layer have come off. I really like these but am disappointed that you cannot not wash them easily. I did air dry them as that was recommended.
I have ordered several of these liners from Chewy in different colors. Very happy with them! I just noticed Chewy is now carrying the 12x12 pads in matching colors so I plan on ordering them now too! They wash up well. I really love the green turquoise color which goes nicely in both my boys' and girls' habitats! The "pink" liner is more of a magenta (pink-purple) shade. The blue liner is a vibrant royal blue shade.
I've had other liners but this is thicker and love the reinforced corners. I can sweep easily. I had to wash the others more frequently than this Paw Inspired version. I don't care about the color, it's got quality!
I had these liners down less then 24 hours and the urine small is disgusting! I purchased these since there were so many good reviews and I keep running into problems finding pine shavings. Well, now I am going to return these and go back to pine shavings. So disappointed.
Where have these been all these years? I could’ve saved myself so much money and work if I had used these from the start! They are fabulous… they wash extremely well and make cage cleaning a breeze. I will never go back to traditional bedding.
We use Kavee Cages for our dwarf rabbits. Finding a durable pad bit also east to clean for rabbits was hard. These are great so far. They are heavy but soft. We clean daily with a little hand vacuum and these do great. They also wash up well. They are competitively priced with others but are much better quality. Would absence recommend for cavy and rabbits.
I purchased one of these liners for my Chewy house brand Frisco Small Animal cage and ordered the 4x2 C&C size as my cage is just under the 4 x 2 CC sizing. My hope is to soon move up to an actual 5 x 2 C&C cage for more room. As is, the 4x2 liner is just a couple inches longer and wider than my current cage bottom and that actually works out well as the liner folds nicely and gives the cage an extra buffer along the sides to keep errant poops from falling under it. On the plus side, it is incredibly easy to clean in seconds using just the removable sweeping head of a Bissell Perfect Sweep Turbo which uses a rechargeble battery and is so quite I can do it while the Cavies are still in the cage. One pass is all it take to clear everything off this liner. I also have a Guineadad 4 x 2 liner that is easy to clean the same way and I custom ordered a super thick and absorbent custom sized double sided liner from Esty that is great for absorbing urine and can be used on each side, but is a problem to vacuum as it has loose unstitched top fleecing. The Paw Inspired Popcorn liner is nice and does not let any urine pass through the bottom liquid barrier, but its only downfall is that it does not have the absorbing abilities of the other two I own. Ideally if one could have 3 of these and just change them out every other day it would be perfect. The corners on mine do not seem to leak like some other reviews I have read, but then again I have the extra protection of all the perimeter of the liner being bent upward along the base of my Frisco cage bottom which is a very large and hard to handle thick plastic tray. I do recommend this liner though as it is rather inexpensive compared to the Guineadad and it does not have that stupid fleece snuggle end that I tuck under anyway as my girls do not like going into it and Cavies are not burrowers anyway. I just wish Chewy's house brand "Frisco made an even larger cage close to the C&C 5 x 2 as the Frisco cage is made incredibly well and if you leave it in place and just wipe down the plastic base with viniger and water you would have the ultimate Guinea Pig cage I believe. So far so good with the Paw Inspired liner and I have washed it now 5 or 6 times and it looks like new. I can not say enough about the ease of having the quilted in top as no loose material gets sucked up into the Bissell Perfect Sweep which also works well on the floor below your cage though not as well as a real vacuum.
Prior to these we have used liners from Guinea Pig Market, Kavee Cage, and GuineaDad. So far the Guinea Pig Market ones have been our favorite but they around $100 a liner now. The Paw Inspired PopCorner is probably most like the GuineaDads in construction. They aren't nearly as fluffy as any of the other liners we've used, which comes with the bonus of being quick drying but we are concerned about capacity and longevity. So far we're getting about a year out of the GPM and KC liners and a little less out of the GuineaDads. Time will tell. Corner reinforcement is a noticable improvement over other designs. The liners stay really dry even when the pigs toss their hay all over the cage. The smell is noticeably better than are 1+ year old liners. Refuse falls right off the liner, far better than any other liner we have had. They seem to dry quicker out of the wash as well. The big negative we've seen so far is the pigs seem to enjoy the liners less. We just replaced a set of KC liners, which are almost 2" thick in some places. The pigs have since stopped laying down out in the open as much and have been using their various fleece houses and pillows a lot more. We are also unconvinced these will make it to a year before they stop controlling the smell and holding waste well. That being said, they are less than half the cost of the 'boutique' brands.
We love this cage liner. It makes cleaning up hay messes very easy. Only issue we have had is that the corners aren't reinforced enough to last more than a few days. We'll just add pee pads as a backup but this is better than our guinea dad liner in my opinion because its more affordable and a lot easier to clean.
