I bought this to hold my guinea pigs’ hay. I’ve tried other options but they threw the hay everywhere and made a huge mess. Now the hay stays mostly in the box and they seem to like kinda foraging in it. It also helps keep their poop more contained.
Despite user recommendations, I used this litter box for long distance travel for my four adult cats. Each cat had their own 30 inch long crate with two 6 ounce lock tight bowls and this litter box. This box gave them enough room to lie down. Our move was about 1150 miles and took 20 hours. Although not recommended for adult cats, they served well for this one time purpose. I did not want to just put them in a carrier and make them tough it out. The move was hard enough. This was the most compact set up we could make. The box is made well, easy to clean, and the high sides helped with my high pee'ers. The opening also allowed some flexibility for use but the opening was high enough to add sufficient litter. We switched back to our 2 jumbo boxes once we arrived at our new home. We are storing these in case we need the same set up for an emergency such as an evacuation. .
I got this because it's cute and fits perfectly in my mini rex's rabbit cage. After trying to train him for a month, I found out why he keeps peeing right next to the litter box and it's because his butt sticks out where the lip of the litter box isn't as high as the rest of the box. This might be great for senior rabbits, but not the best for litter training.
My rabbit is 11.5 years old and this is the first litter box that actually fits him comfortably. The large triangle worked okay, but this is way better!! Thanks Chewy!
It doesn't work as expected. The rabbit will step on the urine and feet will be wet
I just came on here to purchase 3 more of these. We were having a lot of trouble finding something for our ferret cage for them to go potty in. First we started with corner bins. Then came small bins in between to remove corners for them to go in. We now had 4 or 5 bins to clean regularly and they only worked about 50% of the time. Purchased one of these and replaced all of the bins. We have container 100% of their potty needs in the last 2 months with 1 of these. We will be purchasing more to put around the room for when they are out of their cage and to have one to quickly swap out when we are cleaning them.
I was amazed at how he instinctively knew to “hop to it” in his little litter tray. I put newspaper on bottom with the paper litter and some hay on top. He loves it!!! Thanks for great recommendations. This truly helps contain the mess.
I was struggling to find a litter pan that would fit in my bunny's new house-like hutch. This fits PERFECTLY! I love the shield to prevent sprays on my walls. Cleans up like a breeze. Rubber feet on the underside prevent the pan from moving. Note: this is a SMALL pan. My bunny is 5 pounds and it would not accommodate a much larger bunny. I purchased two to facilitate quick swap outs.
Great size , good quality and perfect size for my ferrets . They immediately took to it
When this arrived I could not believe how tiny it is. No pet could use this as a litter box unless it was a baby mouse. It is the size of a shoe box. Horrible mistake.
