is this okay for guinea pigs?

Carefresh Rabbit & Ferret Litter is developed and manufactured specifically for certain small animals that can be trained to use a litter box, especially rabbits and ferrets. It can also be safely used for other small animals such as guinea pigs, chinchillas, rats, hedgehogs, hamsters, gerbils, or mice for their litter box. We recommend checking with your local vet first before using it for other species. As with any changes to your pet's care, if you do use it be sure to observe your pet closely for changes in behavior. Potential risk of impaction exists if your pet ingests a significant amount of any type of bedding. If you suspect impaction, discontinue use immediately and seek veterinary care.

what size area would this 1 bag cover? I have three(3) 2x5 cages

The Rabbit & Ferret litter is intended for small areas only – like a litter box, not to cover an entire cage. We would recommend using the regular carefresh bedding to cover larger cages. The 4.5 pound bag is only 343 cu inches in volume or 5.62 liters and will not even cover a cage that measures 10 cu feet with a one inch layer. 1 inch of litter = 1,440 cu inches.

Can this also be used for hedgehogs I have a rabbit and I would like to get a litter that I can use for both pets.

This litter worked really well for my bunny, I don’t have to change it nearly as often as I do the shavings. And it does seem to mask urine smell but the actual product itself smells horrible. When I opened the bag my first thought was that it smelled like vomit. If I throw some hay on top I don’t notice it but I literally have to hold my breath when I open the bag to refill.

Where has this been all my bunnies lives

Wow, so glad I found this. The best rabbit litter I have ever found. This really cuts downs on smell & my bunnies love it. I use to have to change the litter twice

I can't imagine using anything other than this type of litter, but it's been so difficult to find. Wish I had thought of Chewy first! The pellets are smaller than

I can't imagine using anything other than this type of litter, but it's been so difficult to find. Wish I had thought of Chewy first! The pellets are smaller than the paper pellets she came to us with,. These absorbed faster and we used less when scooping.

It keeps the smell down

You can use a wet wipe and grab the litter out and the rest doesn’t stink and just ad snore as you go along

The smell is awful.

The pellets smelled like burnt paper, it really was awful. I do like how absorbent they are but I cant get past the smell. I wouldn't get these for an animal
