I don't fully understand the dimensions given of 15 x 12 x 18. To clarify, are the 2 sides 15in and 12 in high with the shield? 18in is width from corner to corner of the opening?

The shorter side with the shield is 30 inches long, the larger is 36 inches long, and they both are 7 inches tall with the shield. The front entrance, where your pet enters is 50 inches long.

will this work for kitten training?

This litter pan is intended for small pets like chinchillas, guinea pigs, rats and rabbits.

How high is the entrance lip? Would this do for a medium sized senior cat?

Does Not attach to cage

Bought these for our critter nation cage, not realizing they don't have a way to attach them to the cage. It would be nice if the description stated that information

Larger than expected

I'm surprised as how large the "small" litter box it. It takes up a fair amount of space in my rabbits large cage. Hopefully she uses it like her last box.
