Happy with this liner for senior bunny.
I was looking for an alternative absorbent liner for my senior bunny’s area. I use faux medical sheepskin over fleece, but wanted to find something else to change things up for him. I read the reviews and gave these a try. And my experience has been good overall. I did wash them prior to use and have found them to be absorbent. He did urinate on them in one area and I found it does wick the wetness away within an hour and the spot was then completely dry by the morning. Hay and other bits does brush up easily, and the padding is soft and thick enough for comfort (but I also have fleece over padded playroom puzzle pieces underneath). They wash and dry fairly easy so far. One does have a small area where the stitching is raised and a bit loose, (not sure if it was a defect or maybe my bun was digging there ) so I’m watching to see if it worsens over time. I plan to purchase again in order to have enough for easy wash day rotation.
Not wicking properly
Very sleek and stylish, BUT moisture sits on the top and soaks back into piggy fur and feet. I ended up taking it out of the cage and swapping to a different liner after just a few hours of use. My piggy’s belly was wet when I took her out! I will try washing it several times to make the fleece wick properly, but I really wish I hadn’t bought two! Putting this here because the reviews are what made me buy this, and I think they’re inaccurate. I think this product has so much potential, my piggies and I both love the smooth surface, but it just isn’t functional. Might be better as a pad for lap/floor time, definitely not right for full time use unless you want your piggies getting bumblefoot!
Different color
10000/10 recommend!!! perfect for guinea pigs it is super soft and absorbent. no smell for 2 weeks though i recommend buying 2 to switch out when washing and washing every 2-5 days. the color did differ from what i ordered. i ordered green and got more of a teal color. but personally i love it better!!!! piggies love it.
Apollos new liner
I was looking for a new liner because the old one was getting work out, so I tried this one and let me say it really does hold up too it's name! I usually let his cage go a week with daily spot cleaning and at the end of the week was the liner because if I don't it starts to smell well its been two weeks without daily spot cleaning and I came back home to it not smelling and was super impressed about easy clean up because the hay and his fur didn't stick to it!!
Makes Cleanup a Breeze!
I was a little skeptical spending this much on a mat for a cage, thinking that I could just get cheap liners or rugs from the second-hand place. But after wearing out all the curse words trying (and failing) to clean all those said cheap rugs, I thought I would try this. I’m SO GLAD I did! I’m not sure how good it does with urine because my bunnies use the litter box for that, but it makes their cage super easy to clean up poops and hay and whatever else they’ve found to scatter around. I could easily sweep up the hay off of this. And if you’ve ever tried sweeping hay off of anything, you know how amazing this is. This is a game changer! My washing machine is happy, as are my bunnies. It seems very soft and cozy.
Do not wick well
I should have bought one to try before I spent money on a bunch of these. I was excited to get these because they have such great reviews but they do not seem to wick very well. They're a bit bigger than advertised which is okay because it allows for shrinkage, and I love that nothing seems to stick to them, but when my guinea pigs pee on it or a water bottle leaks the spot stays wet for several minutes. The directions didn't say they needed to be pre-washed so I'm hoping maybe washing them will help but so far I'm not super impressed.
Love them!!
I bought two 2x 4 pads. I originally had GuineaDad but love these so much more! Yeah Guinea Dad are thicker/ more padded but these are a lot easier on my washer and don’t weigh a ton when wet. Also easy to spot clean!! Love them! The blue is bright and a beautiful color!
Fleece cage liner
I have many liners by this company for my guinea pigs' pen. The hay brushes off of them easily and the "poop" falls right off. They do retain some moisture on the surface so that's why I have 2 of the large ones so there's always a clean one to put in.
Fleece liners
I didn't have a good expirience with them. They get wet inmediately and stain easily. When i put in the washer machine is hard to remove the dirt. Sadly i bought 3 of them. Very good presentation but not funtional.
Kokoa Bean loves his new liner
My guinea pig, Kokoa Bean, is the first of four of my boars to try out this new liner. I really like the material because he has a favorite corner spot to pee in and the liner works! The waterproof material on the backside of the liner is very well made too. I just got my second liner in today for Kashew to tryout.
