Well made dog crate but could use some redesign
I like this dog crate and it seems to work well for my dog, who was an escape artist with the wire cage. She was biting and bending the wire cage style, escaped
I like this dog crate and it seems to work well for my dog, who was an escape artist with the wire cage. She was biting and bending the wire cage style, escaped once. She doesn't seem to chew at this one. The disadvantages: The bottom is a wire cage and the plastic is supposed to be under that. I just put the plastic piece on top of the wire cage bottom. I can't see how a dog would be OK standing on that cage. Also as others have said, the locks are poorly designed and seem, like the dog could just push it open. My solution is to put carabiners in the slots after locking to ensure they cant be pushed open. I had to add an elastic to pull the carabiner away from hanging where the dog could chew and pull at it.

Once I replaced the hinge and latch screws with better quality stainless, reversed the door latch direction to protect against pet tampering, and added spacers to the overhead door to keep it properly aligned, it was far more functional and secure. So far, so good since we addressed those issues.

Cheaply Made
None of the screws would tighten up properly. The cheap tools that come with it stripped out within the first couple of screws. This cage is very cheaply made,

Disappointed
Was falling apart as soon as we opened the box. 2 screws and whatever they screw into had popped out of the metal frame. One of the other screws randomly popped

One of the other screws randomly popped out and wont go back in because the holes do not line up. So truely, there were only 5 of the 8 screws holding one of the panels on. Thankfully my boyfriend is handy and made it work for now until we get new, better parts for it. Kind of ridiculous

As I’m setting it up I noticed that there was a top of a screw laying on my floor, and with further investigation I realized that the bottom door latch screw broke

I paid for a kennel that I had hoped wouldn’t be breaking the first day of putting it together. My dog hasn’t even used it yet and over all I’m disappointed. If I wanted a kennel that would be breaking as I’m setting it up I would’ve bought an already used one.

Quality
This is a great crate, however, it is not large enough for my mastiff. He broke through a larger crate. I am keeping it because I am sure I will get another dog
