Best feeder for my girl

This feeder has been amazing so far. I know how much is in her bowl and how much food is left in the tank. I also know when she eats, how much she eats and how long

This feeder has been amazing so far. I know how much is in her bowl and how much food is left in the tank. I also know when she eats, how much she eats and how long it takes her to eat what he ate. It gives a weekly report so I can adjust to her needs. It was easy to setup the feeder and the app has been very easy to use as well. I don’t know I could love a feeder so much. The only con I have seen is that you can only get their keep the food fresh packets from the brand website and they’ve been out of stock for the last two to three weeks that I’ve been using this new feeder. Not really sure what a good off brand option would be since it’s off brand or no packet keeping her food fresh.

This feeder is as basic as a smart device can be. It was nice to not pay for extra bells and whistles but I wish it was just a little bit better. The scales need to be zeroed out multiple times a week and I'm not sure if that's a bug or a feature. The app makes you manage each device separately. We have 3 feeders, one per cat, and they all eat the same. But because of how the app works we had to manually set up the same feeding plan 3 times instead of being able to set it up once then copy it to the other feeders. If we want to toggle Smart feeding or any other feature, we have to do it separately for each device. The app periodically logs you out which is super annoying cuz now I also need to remember a password for a pet feeding app, which to me doesnt really need any security features. The shape of the bowl is awkward for our Persian to eat from, so we had to make some alterations to accommodate him. We're satisfied enough to keep using these feeders, especially given how much more expensive the alternatives are, but there's definitely room for improvement.

I bought this feeder for my cats because I liked that it weighs the food. It does seem to keep the food fresh and the cats like the bowl. However the portion sizes it gives are very large (more dog-sized). My cats waste a lot of food with this, even at the smallest portion setting. The biggest problem was I bought this knowing that the company sells replacement bowls and dessicant packets. I ordered those directly through the company and they have never arrived. The bigger issue is there is no support available to help with this issue. Chewy.com doesn't sell replacement bowls. And the company does not answer any emails or phone calls during their business hours. I am super disappointed and now wish I'd gone with a different, more reliable brand.

I'll start with what I liked because I think this item might work for someone with a pet who has a different personality than mine. I like the design, it was very easy to set up, doesn't take up a huge amount of space, and when I realized I was going to have to try and return it, it was very easy to clean. The issue is that my cat tried to push his entire head inside once he realized that there was food in there and unless I strap the entire unit to something (which I am unable to do), he would probably break it by pushing it over. The plastic doesn't feel super sturdy, but I think it would be fine if someone has a cat with chill. Unfortunately I barely got the thing set up before it was apparent that it would not be safe alone with my cat. Oh well!

I want to note for people here that the smallest portion size that this machine can dispense is 11grams. Although that’s still a really large portion for my fast eating cat, it’s manageable to work with. This feeder is sleek, tech friendly and I love the app. I’m able to make a feeding schedule in the app and change it at any point. I specifically wanted a Bluetooth feeder for this reason as I know I’ll need to adjust my cats feeding schedule with time to get her acclimated to eating at least 11 grams.

Need More Control

Like another reviewer said if the connection to the bowl malfunctions it doesn’t dispense food. I had to leave work early yesterday because of this. Another problem

Like another reviewer said if the connection to the bowl malfunctions it doesn’t dispense food. I had to leave work early yesterday because of this. Another problem is that the specs say it will dispense .3 ounces, but it decides when and if you can do that. I have 2 and one of them won’t let me dispense less than .4 ounces. Also, it is entirely inaccurate. I was feeding my cats a half cup each per day each before I got these. That’s 4 ounces. I had the feeder set to dispense 2 ounces (because I’d already observed that it was dispensing too much). One of my cats chonked up in less than a week. These devices were supposed to make my life easier, but they have complicated it tremendously. I’m going to attempt a refund on the one that keeps malfunctioning. These might be good machines for dogs but lack control and nuance for cats.
