Our dog needs this to live

One of our dogs was diagnosed with Addison's Disease and she will be turning 4 years old this month. She needs this medicine injected every 25 days for the rest

One of our dogs was diagnosed with Addison's Disease and she will be turning 4 years old this month. She needs this medicine injected every 25 days for the rest of her life and it's expensive but so far she's doing good. She was in critical condition when we took her first to an Urgent Care place and then to an Emergency Hospital and both places said it was Addison's Disease and at the time they didn't know if she would survive the night but with everything they did for our pup she is now back to normal as long as she gets her injections and she also gets Prednisone daily (just 1/4 of a pill). I just wish this medication was cheaper since we won't be able to use the whole vial (once it's used the first time it has to used in 4 months). Our dog Piper is only 13 lbs so her dosage is small every 25 days so we won't go through a vial in 4 months time. So we will need to purchase this medication every 4 months. We have a vet tech give the injections (we take the vial with) because both me and my husband are senior citizens and we don't want to be the ones to give the injections.

Life saving but expensive

This medication as saved my dog's life. He was diagnosed with Addison's this past summer after almost dying. This med has literally saved his life. My only issue

Between this every 25 days and her prednisone tablets she's the happiest healthiest dog I've ever seen her in my life she's also getting hill science diet and dasaquin

Between this every 25 days and her prednisone tablets she's the happiest healthiest dog I've ever seen her in my life she's also getting hill science diet and dasaquin chews and nature's pet fish oil a couple of squirts with each meal this dog is the happiest most healthy vibrant I've ever seen her in her entire life she's almost 7 and she's like a puppy again and I can barely hold her back ... Phew!

Does not burn

I used to use Zycortol, but it got more expensive. I tried Percorten out and it was so much better. It does NOT burn, so I can give the injections without traumatizing

Saved my babies life!

My boy went through an Addisonian crisis in April of 2024 where we almost lost him. Thankfully, our emergency vet was able to diagnose him in time with Addison’s

My boy went through an Addisonian crisis in April of 2024 where we almost lost him. Thankfully, our emergency vet was able to diagnose him in time with Addison’s disease and give him an injection of Percorten which worked within MINUTES. Ever since his diagnosis, we have been doing at home injections every 25 days. He does fantastic for them and even seems to be much more lively the next day after his injection. My only gripe is how expensive this life-saving injection costs. If the price could be reduced even by some that would be exponentially helpful to any consumer who REQUIRES to give this medication monthly to their pets.
