Syringes are primarily used to administer insulin to dogs and cats.
Used sharps should be immediately placed in a sharps disposal container. FDA-cleared sharps containers are generally available through pharmacies, medical supply companies, health care providers and online. These containers are made of puncture-resistant plastic with leak-resistant sides and bottom. They also have a tight fitting, puncture-resistant lid. If an FDA-cleared container is not available a heavy-duty plastic household container, such as a laundry detergent container can be used as an alternative.
Use according to your veterinarian's instructions.
Syringes should be kept out of the reach of children and pets.
These syringes are prescribed by your veterinarian in order to deliver insulin to your pet. Insulin syringes list volume as units. U-40 syringes are used to administer ProZinc insulin for cats. Make sure you are using the correct syringe for the insulin your pet needs. Incorrect syringe sizes will result in incorrect insulin dosing. Only your veterinarian can write a prescription for U-40 syringes.
The U-40 Syringe is a high quality, sterile, insulin syringe that is used to administer insulin to diabetic pets, primarily cats. It is primarily used to administer ProZinc insulin. Make sure your veterinarian teaches you how to give insulin injections properly prior to use. Different syringes are necessary for different types of insulin so make sure you are ordering the correct insulin syringe for your pet. U-40 syringes are available with a prescription from your veterinarian. Make sure you dispose of insulin syringes properly in a sharps container. Do not throw away in the regular trash.
Syringes exactly the same as vets but much cheaper
I love these needles and they work perfectly at my cats insulin shots and I was so terrified of having to give him his shots but these needles make it so easy to do!
Right on time and just what I needed. Better price than the vet.
Great product and great price. Much cheaper than at the vet's office.
Self contained unit for used needles. Plus needles are easy to see for required dosage.
much cheaper than at the vet! That's all. Why do I have to write more?
It takes up less space and there are less boxes and jugs laying around.
The sharps container is fine, the syringes are adequate however buyer should be aware that the syringes are marked in 1 Unit increments. My dog is on 8.5 U of Vetsulin twice daily. I'm an RN and have decent eyesight, so I will deal with these syringes/sharps box as the cost to me via Chewy is far less than I paid via my Vet's office.
This is perfect for using on my diabetic kitty! There are clear dosing marks, the needle always goes in easy and he barely even notices, and no need to save bottles for safe needle disposal.
Using insulin needles for the dog can get expensive, Chewy makes like so much better at 1/3 what the vet charged me. Picture is not the ones I got, label is green and needles are 1 cc, 1.0 ml. Thanks Chewy!
