Works well with a tiny amount of blood

These strips work well with the alpha trak 3 system. I’m new to having my own diabetic dog and these strips/the alpha trak make things a bit easier. It took me awhile

These strips work well with the alpha trak 3 system. I’m new to having my own diabetic dog and these strips/the alpha trak make things a bit easier. It took me awhile to get the hang of getting blood on my dog’s ear or upper paw pad so I appreciate that these strips take such a little drop compared to other systems. I’ve only gotten an error message twice in the whole four months that I’ve been using them from lack of blood. I only took off one star because they’re more expensive than other strips.

Test strips also easy to use but kinda expensive specially if you have to check the sugar level for your dog more than once a day . Would be nice if some of this

Chewy is reliable to have these in stock

These are effective and mostly reliable but expensive per strip, so it’s frustrating to get 1-3 strips per unit that just don’t register regardless of blood sample

These are effective and mostly reliable but expensive per strip, so it’s frustrating to get 1-3 strips per unit that just don’t register regardless of blood sample being excessive. I’d recommend another brand but the AlphaTrak only works with these strips. It’s a definite financial impact on an already expensive illness. I mention the faulty strips bc you need to make sure you don’t run out and three strips out of 50 is a lot so be sure to use autoship so you don’t run out.

Hit or miss and EXPENSIVE

I use these for my diabetic cat and it’s hit or miss if the strips will give an error or if they’ll give an actual number. They’re so expensive too to have to throw

Easy to use glucometer.

The important part is to identify pet type, cat or dog or horse. Once set up, easy to use and it keeps a log of blood glucose results.

Never calibrates

Frustrated that this product doesn’t calibrate. I’ve bought a few over the years some calibrate and some do not. It’s a lot of money to toss down the drain.

The blood glucose test strips were packed with a 40 lb box of cat litter. This was the first time my cat's test strips have ever been shipped like that. That tiny box of test strips is worth over $65.00 and are VERY fragile. I need them to monitor my cat's blood sugar to know when I can safely administer insulin to him. I have been a customer with chewy for over 5 years and spend nearly $1000 worth of products consistently every year. This was the first time I have ever been disappointed with an order from Chewy.
