Feeding Instructions

For Adult cats, feed 1 can per 6 - 8 lbs. of body weight per day.

Kittens require up to 2 and a half times this amount. For pregnant and lactating females, allow free access to food. Adjust the amount of food you serve based on the age, size and activity level of your cat. Food should be fed at room temperature. Promptly refrigerate the unused portion.

Transition Instructions

If you are currently free-feeding a kibble, the first step is to feed your cat at meal times. Put the kibble down for a 20-30 minute time frame for a few days to help your cat recognize that this is feeding time. Yes, your cat will be hungry at these mealtimes if they have been used to grazing all day long, but this step will help in the transition.

Once these meal times are established, then try introducing canned food. Your cat will either like it and your transition took no time at all, or you may have to keep trying to entice the cat. If your cat will not eat the canned food you have offered, try putting some kibble on the top to entice the cat. If that doesn’t work, feed kibble and try a different protein at the next mealtime. It may take a while – a few day or a few weeks – for your cat to realize that this is food, but remember that you are doing it to better your cats health.

    18th Century British Peerage approved

By Approved on Apr 29, 2021

I have a picky eater with a sensitive stomach. We tried chicken from the same brand and watched our cat turn her nose at it. This flavor was the next attempt before moving on to a new brand (like other times before). Needless to say, my cat seems to believe she is an 18th Century English Lord eating dinner from the days hunt of her stately home, because she licked the plate clean when we gave her the gamebird mix.

    Crowd pleaser

By Jane on Dec 30, 2020

All four of my cats go bananas for this. I wanted to introduce wet food to my cats’ kibble diet. I have two picky eaters who weren’t to into it when I first set it out. I solved this by setting little scoops into their kibble and gradually increased the amount. Now they start yowling whenever I grab a can. The ingredients, nutrition, and sourcing make me comfortable feeding it to my animals. It is a firm pate that I dilute down with a little water to increase hydration. All around crowd pleaser.

    Ate 1 can, then boycotted

    By Catmom on Jan 2, 2021 top250Contributor

My cat ate one can but not eagerly. He has a varied diet so there are several foods he eats. The next time I opened a can he wouldn’t touch it. I tried slipping in just a little bit of it into other foods he likes just so I could use the can up. Apparently he could smell it and if there was any of this in his food he wouldn’t touch it. I tried that with several different foods that he likes and the result was the same. He would sniff it and walk away wouldn’t even touch it.

    Always a Clean Bowl

By Chrissy on Jun 24, 2020

My cat absolutely loves this. He's a kitten still, so I'm trying to expose him to as many protein varieties as possible (all through this line) and he is a complete fan. And even though he's a good water drinker, it puts me at ease being able to mix some higher moisture content into his diet alongside his kibble at a cost that isn't as expensive as other high quality, grain free options I've looked into. And the consistency isn't a problem (pretty expected with Agar which itself is a gelatin like substance) and a better alternative to guar gum and carrageenan! I usually just warm it up a little and it turns more into a typical paté consistency. So needless to say, I'm pretty impressed with My cat absolutely loves this. Diet wise its very well rounded, and protein quality wise and variety of protein source in the line- all makes my little troublemaker so very pleased. He can't wait for his feeding times now, and also has a hard time walking away when even a scrap remains in his bowl. … more

    Not a winner

By RatPackMom on May 22, 2020

I wanted this to work out...I really did. I'm in love with the ingredients and the US sourced meat base. My boy just isn't that into it and he's only a year old, so he's open to eating most things. I'm going to keep trying because I want him to eat like this but I ordered other stuff because this is an expensive experiment to keep playing with on chewy when you have to order a whole case of it. LOL

    Worth the price!

By elly on Jun 5, 2020

My cat isn’t a picky eater, but he has a sensitive belly and has had many issues with other canned foods. After doing lots of research on what kind of food would be best for him, this was a hit. It’s a bit pricey and a bit stinky, but it’s well worth a happy and healthy kitty.

The cat who eats everything - except this

By AmherstCats on Jun 5, 2020

I have one picky cat and one cat who will eat everything. I bought this new food hoping my picky cat might like it. Unfortunately neither cat will touch it! I am hoping the other flavor I ordered from this company is more to their liking. Only the dog will eat it!

Pieces of a label in can

    By FoldMom on May 8, 2020 top1000Contributor

My cats loved this food, that is, until I opened a can and found a piece of a label that didn’t even belong to this particular flavor. I could make out the word “coconut” on the label with the use of a magnifying glass. There were also white pieces of something in there, which I could not identify. It could have been the food, but I really don’t know. I emailed the company and received a prompt reply. They wanted pictures, which I provided. Then they wanted to have the cans shipped back, and that is where it ended. That was two months ago. I emailed once more, but did not hear back. I wanted to like this food so much, but with quality control like that I can’t trust it.

    Not good choice

By BLDR on Jun 10, 2020

We are looking for a new high quality food for our kitty family. We tried this food and immediately had more vomiting. Once we stopped the vomiting stopped. This was in several cats.
