Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

    Thinking of Buying?

    By on

I have been using various premiums as well as bargain brand cat sand/litter for 25 years. My current. cat is 19 years old, getting to be a little picky about food now. But he never cared what was in his litter box too much. But I did because I had to clean it. I am re-ordering the Herbal Attraction and the Alpine Meadow, I mix the 2, the scent is very light and pleasing and the texture is like big coffee grounds. No tracking. Some dust when you first pour, but only for a few seconds. Absorbent and clumps well. What makes this the only litter I will ever buy is THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO STICKING TO SIDES OR BOTTOM OF THE BOX!

    Great odor and traction control

    By on

I've had cats for over 30 yrs and this is the only litter that really delivers. I scoop at least once a day and flush the poops only. There is hardly any odor and I can't believe how little it tracks. I have 2 fur babies, brother and sister, he's a Hemingway ( 6 toes ) and his front paws look like a catchers mitt, plus he's lost weight and down to a svelt 181/2 lbs. you can't imagine the mess he makes with the litter til now. Only four stars cause I haven't tested the cat attract option. My area rugs are covered in tin foil due to the fact Big boy has taken to mess on my rugs, no rhyme or reason, vet says he good and healthy. Seems some males decide to do that when they get older ( he's 9 ). I've had cats for over 30 yrs and this is the only litter that really delivers. Happy Cat Happy Owner

I like this litter because it is extremely easy to scoop, lite weight, and has great odor control. You do not notice a scent but it does a good job neutralizing cat feces and urine.

    Best cat litter

    By on

The only litter she actually will use. We have tried many kinds she was going anywhere she pleased. We almost got to the point of making her be a outside only cat. With frigid temps coyotes fox badgers I knew she would not have lasted long. My heart was breaking...

    Great Litter

I have switched from the clumping clay litter to this brand of Walnut shells. I have used all of the "scents" and none of them are really better than the rest. This is my new litter for sure!

    Excellent Choice

    By on

My cat has a disease that caused a low blood count, and it caused him to have pica. He seemed to want to taste clay litter which caused us no small amount of alarm. Our vet told us there was paper litter and crushed walnut shells litter to try. We tried the paper litter, and he sunk into it, and it is still remarkably heavy. Ultimately, we turned to the crushed walnut shells, and both kitty and kitty parents are pleased. This is the lightest litter you will ever use, and it is also the freshest. It also goes twice as far. We used a mix of the scented and unscented and consider it perfect.

    Great Litter

    By on

I usually use the regular walnut litter, so when my rescue kitty started peeing on rugs/towels/clothes left of the floor, I tried this "herbal attraction litter" and it seems to have really helped! No pee anywhere but the litter box since I started using this. (I also took all rugs etc off the floor temporarily...but even with rugs back and clothes left on the floor sometimes again, she hasn't had any more accidents) The walnut litter in general I like because it clumps, and keeps smells down. It does have some tracking (a top-entry box has helped with that, no longer an issue for me) and some slight dust. Overall, naturally fresh walnut litter is one of my favorite litters.

    Jury still out

    By on

3/29/20, just got this litter. My cat prefers the great outdoors for his toilet so he's not really using this any better than any other type. However, I like that it doesn't have a strong odor like some & my dog doesn't want to eat it, like she does the corn products. It is lightweight.

    clumps break apart

    By on

This stuff smells awesome when you pour it. But cleaning the box or when the cat is using the box cause the clumps to break apart. My entire house smelled awful after day three. I had to go to the store to buy new.

Was supposed to be low tracking

    By on

My Maine Coon mix tracks this as bad as any other litter. It is also harder to clean up I find. Not a fan of this one. More dust than I expected also.
