Naturally Fresh Multi-Cat Unscented Clumping Walnut Cat Litter

I am slowly introducing this litter to my cats. For now, only one litter box has Naturally Fresh in it and the cats are using it. It wipes out a lot of the smell, is lasting several weeks without having to add more to the litter box, and does a good job of clumping the waste. The clumping is not a hard clumping like other litters, but it works. The dust is also minimal compared to the litter I have been using. I have already changed my next litter order to only Naturally Fresh. Also, because of what it's made from, the litter is environmentally friendly. For those of you interested, the bag does not say it's flushable.

I do love the way it clumps & how quickly it absorbs, however the way it controls fecal odor has totally been ruined. It use to be great in odor control but now, when it comes to controlling fecal odor, it's TERRIBLE. Doesn't control odor even a little. I originally gave this 5 stars but have now downgraded to 3. I have now started adding baking soda to the litter which is just another expense. I'm actually now looking for another litter. Why try & fix something that's not broken? It NEVER works. I've used this type of litter in the past when my Siamese was a kitten. And it didn't track much, but the cats wouldn't dig in it to cover anything. It's strange, but it didn't clump well. Well except for the very bottom of the litter pan. In this weirdly liquidy, chunky mess. The other con? My snow lynx point siamese's paws and legs are now a weird tan color.

I seriously love this this litter! I was looking for an environmentally friendly option that still clumps like clay cat litter, and this does exactly that. I didn’t have any problems transitioning my cat to this stuff, and I have noticed an improvement in the way my small apartment smells. Highly recommend!

I agree with those that say the so-called improved litter is not as good as the old. The old never used to smell, but this does. The urine is not absorbed enough , and there are clumping issues. I have used this litter for years, and my cats would take great exception if I changed it, I know, so onward I go. At least they continue to use it no matter that it smells.

I tried just about every kind of litter for my kitties (3 cats, 3 boxes) Previously I was using clay litter and replacing it completely each week but one of my babies has some breathing issues and I didn't want to keep creating dust from the litter. This was the best one as far as trapping oder and my cats seem to really live the feel of it ( they were not fans of the newspaper or wood chips). I was lucky and found this litter on my 2nd round of trial and error of litter; and have been impressed ever since. Living in small space, the litterbox is apart of the room and good smells are a priority. Guests have never been able to identify the litterbox by smell and are amazed. A walnut/earthy scent is evident after use; otherwise non existent! Others have commented regarding dust, and it is quite dusty while scooping. I personally dont have issues with this so I dont factor this in with my rating. It is something to mention that #2's are noticeable when first laid; however my cat does not cover his doo's, and I believe this is why. The icky scent does not last long, 5-10 minutes tops. Seems my Charlie is allergic to clay and the dust. I got this with big hopes. He took right to it and didn't mind the change but the thing is it doesn't clump very hard. I will do my best because it has less dust and that is good for me. Got my fingers crossed.

As far as functionality goes, I don't really have complaints about this litter. However, my cat is all white and this litter is a dark brown and unfortunately seems the color / dust quickly makes her little feet look dirty. Now trying to find something similar that won't discolor her fur.

So I hated seeing my old light colored litter tracked all down the cherry wood hardwood floor - so this litter is a blessing as you don't see it. However I have to agree that it is so dusty - the closet we use for the litter box within 2 weeks is cover in dark "natural" walnut dust 1/8" thick.
