Interested in hearing if any users have a cat with Asthma and if they have any issues with dust using this. I really need to find something that is truly low dust for my poor sweet fur babies with asthma.

Answer by ChewyDec 20, 2018
This litter is made from a proprietary blend of the fibrous materials found in the walnut shell, this litter neutralizes litter box odors better than clay, pine and wheat. It produces harder clumps for easier scooping and is so absorbent, one bag is equal to three bags of the leading clay litter. Unlike clay litters which throw off silica dust, Naturally Fresh is virtually dust-free so you and your cat can breathe easy.

Is it flush safe?

Answer by ChewyJul 05, 2018
Only dispose of used cat litter in trash. Do not flush, bury or dispose of it outdoors, in gutters or storm drains to avoid environmental contamination.

Is this safe for kittens? Mine are about 7 months.

Answer by ChewyOct 25, 2018
Some kittens are more inclined to eating litter than others. Generally, for kittens over 4 months, you can use clumping litter, but be sure to watch they the litter isn't being eaten.

Where can I recycle the plastic bag? My local recycling facility that takes just about anything will not take it.

Answer by ChewyJan 17, 2019
The bag is made out of number 7 plastic and can be recycled. It is recommended to check with the guidelines of your local recycling program.

This cat litter has a nice texture and excellent clumping ability. The walnut has a natural woody scent which is very welcoming. I also like the dark color of the litter. Somehow, it hides what my cats leave behind. The walnut litter is easy to scoop out as it is neither too fine and powdery nor too coarse to go through the cat litter scoop. I think I have finally found a cat litter that I like!

Disclosure I had a bag that was really dusty, and I think the problem with that and mix dust reviews is sometimes you get the bottom of the barrel of the last of the product. This Did not discourage me because of the brand I’ve been using the red bag 8ish years. It worked really good but for my elderly cat(1 out of 5) who is very particular on her litter as well with an elderly cat it is really hard on them to use the restroom sometimes where P or they step in litter that didn’t absorb it. Well this solved my problem absolutely in love with it. Says what it does and it’s soft on their feet.

I used to use ekocat in the past, I’ve used wheat scoop, and this by far has been the winner. I have 6 cats, works amazingly well, I have 3 litter boxes, one of them is a PETKIT puramax. 3 of my cats are indoor outdoor , so this litter also mimics dirt so if they need to go outside, they go! The smell is neutral and natural, clumping works best in my opinion. I never bave a home smelling like cat. Even if I haven’t done the litter in 4 days.

I love that this litter is all natural with not harmful chemical additives. And I find with regular scooping it does have great odor control BUT it produces A LOT OF DUST. Scooping it a challenge because of the dust that stirs up so I can only imagine how unpleasant it is for my cat. And he already has allergy/ respiratory issues. It also seems to track pretty bad, but that could be partly my cats fault. I’m still using this product because it’s truly all-natural and truly works, but am considering either switching to Pepper and Paco litter or possibly blending the two to cut down on the dust.

Worth it IMO!

Switched from Sustainably Yours & clay litter to this after being recommended it by a store employee, and it's so worth it in my opinion! It's sooo much more affordable compared to Sustainably Yours, and definitely more sustainable compared to clay litter. It also clumps just as well as clay litter, but doesn't gunk up my scooping shovel like the clay litter. Also the odor control is awesome! The litter by itself does have a "scent" but it's just the walnut shell scent and it's not that strong at all. The few cons is that it does track, but honestly I'm use to it by now and a little bit of sweeping and vacuuming doesn't bother me. And tbh, it is a bit dusty, but I'd rather me and the cats deal with walnut dust than clay dust. I've also heard it can stain white or lighter coated cats paws if that's a concern, but none of my cats are affected by it. Overall I highly recommend this litter if someone's looking for a sustainable and relatively affordable litter :]!!

I have been using Naturally Fresh Walnut Cat Litter for over 35 years, and all 5 of my black cats have loved it. Whenever I tried to use a different litter, they would stand outside their litter box and cry until I changed it back. It never smells, and they don't track it all over the house.

The new formula honestly disappointed me, like the original I thought it would be smell free but it’s far from that. I clean the litter sometimes twice a day and it still smells. Both my cats have there own litter boxes but the smell is still very strong, I love this brand but I’m switching it to the original again

We love the Naturally Fresh Walnut kitty litter. The blue bag previously called the yellow bag has a probiotic and an enzyme that surround the feces in urine. makes it so easy to clean the box. you don't have to wash down the box or change litter but every month. and knowing that I'm not breathing in chemicals on the clay litter or having the cats them myself or having the cats breathe and lick the chemicals that are in all the clay litters.
