It's the one my two cats prefer. I've tried 3 litters in the past few months, Catit Pea Husk, Paco & Pepper Olive Pit and the Frisco Clumping Grass. I loved the Catit(absolutely dustless), my boys did not, maybe due to the mild vanilla scent. They're allowed outside during the day and they were trying to avoid the litter boxes at night then were bolting out the door in the morning. I tried the olive pit litter in the box next to the Catit box and one of them used that but the other was waiting at the door to do his business in the morning. I replaced the Catit with the Frisco grass and they both preferred that over the olive pit and I could see that both of them had used the Frisco box during the night. So, the grass litter does track out like crazy(hence 4 stars). It's very light and my boys tend to explode out of the litter boxes. The others track too, but not as much. It clumps fine and has ok odor control for urine though nothing really controls poop odor except for fast scooping. So, I'll keep using the Frisco as long as the boys are happy.

I boughe this litter because I wanted something that was non-toxic, unscented and easy to clump and clean. This litter is great and my cats really like it. It is light weight and odorless. It does a good job at controlling the smell, although we do clean the boxes daily and we do use an air filtration machine in the litter room. This is a great overall litter that is natural and non-toxic. Cats do lick their paws, so I did not want to cause any harm with chemicals or fragrances in litter (which a lot do contain).

I switched to this litter about a year ago when my boy cat started having urinary issues. I wanted to be extra cautious and switch him from a clay litter. The Frisco grass litter is GREAT!! Clumps well, hides smell, it’s a bit more lightweight than clay litter, and I find it very affordable. It does scatter really bad, BUT it’s not like stepping on Legos like clay litter. Minimal dust as well. My complaints: I buy the 2 pack, and both bags are shipped together along with a few other items in my autoship. This causes 2 issues: 1) the box is huge and HEAVY. FedEx hates me, I’m sure. And it do struggle to bring the box inside from the porch on my own. If you have stairs, I can’t imagine. 2) several times I have opened the box to find a hole in the litter bags and litter everywhere. I have slapped some packing tape on the bag and it’s been fine to use, but still a minor annoyance. Neither of these outweigh the pros! Still a full five stars.

I began using crushed walnut shells kitty litter and really liked it and it was a lot more economical than the other one I had been using but suddenly had to economize. The problem with the crushed walnut shells, the odor is attracting squirrels, (one who ate right through the bag!). So now I'm going to try the grass kitty litter and I'll let you know how it is! Chewy is the best company I have ever dealt with! Chewy is just awesome.

This litter is great. I was looking for an alternative to clay and tried this and Boxie Cat Air. This clumps well, doesn’t smell, and has really no dust. The Boxie Cat one would form hard, dark clumps and this one forms soft clumps that are easy to scoop and it’s so much cheaper. The only issue I have is that I have very low sided boxes (2”) because all my cats are older and because the litter is so light and fluffy, it easily comes out of the box. But that’s an me issue. Overall a great litter and will continue to use.

I always wash the boxes outside and then pour in the litter outside after they dry. really like how light it is to carry the box full of litter back inside and also how light the bag is to pick up. It's also easy to scoop and doesn't turn to muddy wet "concrete" like the clay does. It also seems that grass is healthier for them than clay or even the wheat which has sometimes gotten bugs in it during summer.

While this litter seemed promising at first, and my cat likes it well enough. I've found it to be one of the worst when it comes to tracking. Every time my cat jumps out of the litter box a trail of this litter will follow him for at least 10ft of floor. Will NOT be buying this one again for sure.

This stuff is amazing!

I have always had pet cats since I was 8 years old. Clay clumping litter used to be the best available option, but I swore off it years ago when I learned how bad inhaling the particles and fragrances are for cats. Since leaving clay litter behind I have struggled to find the best litter for my cats and me, and I think I have finally found it thanks to Chewy and all the amazing products the company makes! Pros: No dust! This is a huge upgrade from the soft wood litter I have used for years. Phenomenal clumping! Natural product that controls odor well Unscented option available (I always buy unscented for my cats' benefit) Preliminary trials in my Litter Robot 4 are promising Cats take to it easily It's not as heavy as clay litter, but not as light as the soft wood litter, which helps it track less Tradeoffs I'm willing to make: It tracks some, but honestly all litter does, and it tracks WAY less than the litter I was using previously Yes, the clumps sometimes stick to the bottom of the box, but it helps if you keep the litter deep and clean your box and scoop regularly Now, I have 3 cats that each use their own boxes and I clean them every day (well, the robot cleans itself), so you will not smell a litter box when you walk into my house. When you walk up to the box, you will likely smell it, but I smell zero urine odors. I tried this litter mixed in with the corn litter I'm currently using in my Litter Robot, and it worked great. Since I still have a full bag of the corn litter, I have not given the Frisco litter a full trial in the robot yet.

Not impressed

I have four cats and five litter boxes: four of which are stainless steel. My cats took to this litter without any problem, but us humans hate it. It does nothing for odor control. We scoop the litter boxes twice a day, but the ammonia smell is horrendous within two days of changing/cleaning boxes. Not to mention, it seems that my cats pee straight through the litter and it sits and collects on the bottom and then solidifies into an almost unbreakable chunk. Breaking it apart ultimately leads to little chunks being left in the pan which I’m sure is contributing to the smell. I will not be buying this litter again.
