Excellent Litter but Expensive

Lightly scented grass seed litter is great; it clumps hard, smells OK, and is easy to clean. Being light, it does track but I would rather deal with the tracking

Lightly scented grass seed litter is great; it clumps hard, smells OK, and is easy to clean. Being light, it does track but I would rather deal with the tracking than with the weight, stink, cement-like clay, sticking to the litter box, etc. Unfortunately, some of these other litters, including wood (smells like plywood sawdust - BS pine), walnut shells, Worlds Best, A&H Slide and similar brands and types, are about the same in price (some cost more) and do not do as good a job as the grass seed. The 20 pounds does actually compare to almost 40 lbs as I use prior litter containers to make this comparison. I switched grass seed brands from SoFresh to Frisco and found no difference in the product. Price increases caused my switching and may do so again.

Light weight

I love how easy this is to scoop through. Prefer this over the clay litter. Another bonus, I can throw it out back in our woods under a tree and it breaks down instead

Light and easy

I have tried many litters. We now have 4 cats. This is not heavy. Doesn’t have a heavy scent and you can get unscented. I usually use some walnut shell lavender

I have tried many litters. We now have 4 cats. This is not heavy. Doesn’t have a heavy scent and you can get unscented. I usually use some walnut shell lavender calming to sprinkle over top on 2nd and 3rd week to help with smell. I only clean out once a day so I change the litter every three weeks. It does stick to sides if you have a cat who pees to edge like mine. I just pile the litter in the corner where he goes and use a spackling knife to scrape side of box when I collect the clumps. Make sure to have a large litter mat to collect the stuff they kick out. It does track a lot but it is a lot better than heavy clay and some of the more expensive stuff. No dust at all. I just vacuum daily. There is good and bad to everything but I will take this litter over all the rest.
