The best way to transition onto a new food is to gradually introduce the food by mixing it with the old diet. Mixing the food will allow the pet to acclimate to the new taste and not overindulge on the new food. When food transition is not an option, there are a few ways to ensure a good transition: • Feed multiple, smaller volume meals. This will decrease the likelihood of over-consumption and provide for a more consistent, firm stool. • Add clean warm water to the food to help soften it. • Add a digestive aid such a boiled brown rice or sugar-free canned pumpkin

If the canned food is well covered or sealed from the surrounding environment, the food should last up to 3 - 4 days. It is advised to consume before this time. The storage conditions and general hygiene of the refrigerator, as well as how long the food has sit out exposed will have determining effects on the safe storage of the canned diets.

Wellness products are natural, and as a result, you may experience product that looks slightly different in texture, color, shape, aroma and consistency from time to time. This is a function of natural products in general, but also raw material fluctuations and the manufacturing process. Please be assured that even though the product may look different from batch to batch, its superior nutritional value, palatability and safety does not change. For more information on the consistency of our natural canned pet food, please see, How Wellness Natural Canned Food is Made.
Minimum and maximum claims for each nutrient are established by AAFCO. The only necessary claims a pet food must make are for Crude Protein, Fat, Fiber, and Moisture. Protein is always a minimum claim Fat is always a minimum claim Fiber is always a maximum claim Moisture is always a maximum claimWhile these are the only nutrients mandated by AAFCO to carry min/max claims, ash may voluntarily be listed, but must be listed as a maximum guarantee. Any vitamins, minerals or live microorganisms (probiotics) may be labeled with a minimum guarantee. We're proud to be one of the only pet food manufacturers who are able to include guaranteed levels of probiotics on our dry food recipes. Probiotics can help improve digestion and immune system function.
My cat was diagnosed as diabetic so he needs high protein low carb food. Albeit, it’s pricey but he’s worth it and he will be 17 in May. His coat is gorgeous and he acts like a kitten, even wrestles with the puppy.
I've been feeding my two cats Wellness pate in the evenings for the last four years or so. They love it, and it seems to sit well with both their stomachs. We're big fans!
My cat used the wellness pate when he was at the shelter before I adopted him and he loved it, he still loves it once he got used to my room He now eats one full can a day (1/2 in the morning, 1/2 at dinner time)
Our cats are super picky so they didn’t want to eat these (that was on me for trying something new) but customer service was amazing and made it all worth it!
I had to give up Merricks, my cats weren’t eating it anymore and the canned food frankly looked off. I tried Halo, canned, and that was a slow go. So, upon a recommendation, I went w/Wellness pate. That too was eaten much slower than usual. Some days were good, but most days the 4 of them took a few nibbles and then tried burying it! My one cat, who loves Wellness Morsels, was vomiting for days! Was it the food, or just something else?? I don’t know what’s going on with the canned food products, but things have changed since the pandemic for sure. And I know I’m not the only one noticing it.
My cat has been eating this for many years, he is a healthy 9 year old boy. He begs for this food every day. He loves it!
It should be clear that the "Poultry Lovers Variety Pack" includes 2 types of food that are mainly fish. My cat won't eat them. What was shown was chicken pate. Unfortunately that flavor was only a third of the $70+ worth of food I bought. Two thirds will be thrown out. Also 1-2 day shipping took a week from when I ordered.
This cat food is expensive and having every single can completely dented is unacceptable.
My furbaby loves all the Wellness food items so far. I love Chewy because you get more for your money.
Because of Dorries age, he needs a pate. He doesn’t like this one so much.
