My cats are both indoor & outdoor cats. I decided to try this brand of cat food because of its quality ingredients. My cats love it. It's also very convenient to have it auto shipped.
Three out of four cats will eat this, but with some hesitation. It sits in the bowl for quite awhile. They're not thrilled and only eat it because that's what they have. The fourth cat (who is an outdoor kitty who usually eats anything and everything I give her) won't eat it. I think the neighborhood cats and skunks probably eat most of hers. I also bought the Salmon recipe of this food and the three indoor cats like it even less than this one. But the outdoor cats likes the Salmon flavor better. Hmm... On the next order I'll probably go back to American Journey Chicken Recipe Grain-Free Dry Cat Food. Even though they were pretty tired of that one, they seem to like it better than this Wellness Complete Health Grain Free.
So there are a lot of reviews saying their cats won’t touch this food…I’m having a similar issue… I have 2 cats, one male, one female, both 5 years old and neither are very picky eaters. When I first introduced the kibble, one little piece for each, they ate it. Great! Put some in their bowls, they ate a few bites and were done. Thought nothing of it since they had already had dinner. Since then they barely touch it if at all. In fact, one cat will sometimes eat it and the other won’t. I’ve tried refreshing it, adding more, changing the bowl, putting it straight on the floor etc. Again, one will eat a few bites here and there and the other just looks confused. BUT, he’ll eat it out of my hand…once I put it in the bowl he’s lost again. I’ve also noticed this food has very little smell compared to other kibble and I’m wondering if that’s the issue. Cats can’t see up close and have to rely on their sense of smell to be their eyes. If they can’t smell it, it doesn’t exist lol. That’s the only thing I can think of… Otherwise the quality seems great and if I could get them to eat it on the regular I’d definitely buy it again! Hope this helps!
I had a high expectation on this product after noticing that my cats love the treat products made by this company. So, when I saw this on sale, I jumped to try it out. I give my cats grain-free foods, and this product's ingredients seemed good. Well, my cats don't seem to be fans of this product. My better eater (my older male cat) doesn't finish it when he used to finish the previous cat food with gusto. Even the stray cats outside just nibble a bit and walk away. (Sigh...) So, this has not been well-received by anyone here, unfortunately. :(
My cat actually attacked the Wellness bag and ripped it open. He loves it
I had great difficulty in payment altho not my banks problem, it appears Chewey had the problem. I ordered 2 cases of cat food and received 1 case of cat food and 1 case of dog food! What is happening to once a great company to deal with?
My cat started with Wellness Kitten then switched to Wellness Indoor Food at 1 year old. He's now 11 years old and grew up to be a healthy cat. He's never been sick and hopefully will stay that way.
This food has quality ingredients and both cats liked it, until we got to the bottom of the bag. There were so many crumbs and to powder disintegrated kibble I had to throw out about 5 cups worth of food. But since this was a large bag, it wasn't much of a loss, maybe that's what happens, but I had not experienced that with other brands.
I have used this off and on for a few years and it's always been perfect. Unfortunately, with the increased price and a bag full of crumbs, my cats hated it. They picked out what they could and left a bowl full of powdered bits.
My cat does not tolerate most dry food and it has been different to find something she 1. Tolerates, 2. Actually wants to eat. This cat food has been a huge hit! With the first bag she was pawing the bag between meal times to sneak more. Our local pet store sells it for $25 for a 5 pound bag, a bit pricy but chewy has much better pricing.
