Can this be pole mounted instead of hung?

This feeder is designed to be hung, not mounted on a pole. Hang the feeder with at least 18 inches of clearance on all sides so squirrels can’t easily reach the ports without activating the Seed Shield.

Will this detour pigeons?

This feeder is not designed to deter pigeons. The weight-activated perch system is calibrated to support the weight of birds but not squirrels.

Will this work with the pellets for bluebirds

This feeder is compatible with a wide variety of bird seed however, if pellets are larger than seed, they may not fit through the openings.

Bird Feeder

I filled the feeder up with black oil sunflower seeds and it's just been hanging in my yard with no takers. I don't think the birds know how to get at the seeds

I filled the feeder up with black oil sunflower seeds and it's just been hanging in my yard with no takers. I don't think the birds know how to get at the seeds through the plastic opening covers. I'll give it another week but then return it if there are still no birds feeding from it.

None of the birds will eat out of it

The openings are so tiny they can't get a sunflower seed out of it. I have 5 feeders even when the other 4 are empty they don't eat from it. I've tried different

I will not use cheap seed either a bunch of millet because I don't want to keep pulling out the grass and growth under the feeder.

Extra large feeder and squirrel-free

This feeder holds a lot of seed and foils squirrels and deer therefore I do not have to fill it as often. Birds are regular customers

I bought 3 squirrel proof feeder varieties, hoping to keep the deer out of them. This one does, and the birds had no issues with it. It also prevents seed spillage

totally keeps out squirrels if placed 5 feet from a tree

this is the 3rd one I have purchased. easy to clean. closes when 2 starlings get on at the same time.

Ok

The feeder worked great, but the deer kept knocking it with their hooves and emptying it. Now I just throw seed on the ground. Good if you don't have deer!

Replacing ports

Goldies Vinyl thru Etsy has the replacements for the ports on this feeder, such a shame not to offer them. BUT Goldies has them and they are tough to get in but
