This special feeder includes patented Flexports, which are four times more shake-resistant than standard ports, so there’s less seed waste and less mess. The unique design also lets birds feed at optimal positions outside of the port, so they feel safer and linger longer. Each feeding station features a ladder-style perch to fit a wide variety of bird sizes. The weight-activated perch system is calibrated to support the weight of birds but not squirrels. When squirrels try to gain access, the ports close off under their weight! Plus, the unique Sure-Lock cap prevents squirrels from lifting the lid, while the metal frame discourages chewing around the ports. Your neighborhood feathered friends are in for a treat with this feeder in your yard!

This bird feeder does look nice hanging outside my window. It has taken the birds some time to adjust to it and I still have some birds that do not like using it. The feeder does hold a lot of seed, which is nice and the cable to hang it seems solid. My only complaint is that the seed doesn't always filter down to the eating area so I have to check it and give it a shake or two at least once a day.
Took the birds a day or two to figure out how to get the seeds. But Now we have lots Of families visiting
The feeder allows squirrels to eat, smh
We have several feeders in our yard. I bought this one because it seemed it would deter squirrels and the rain shouldn't have gotten in easily. Well the birds did not take to it all! I had a few try it out but they never stayed. There would be several birds on the other feeders but this one none of the birds would go go it. Also after the first rain the seed got very wet. Had to throw out the seed.
the plastic ports get worn and become big holes for all the birdfood to fall out of! good idea but doesn't hold up. rest of feeder is fine. but useless if all the food falls out....
I recommend that anyone who feed the birds outside to get this bird feeder. It keeps the squirrels away and the squirrels are actually scared of this bird feeder.
This feeder keeps out squirrels and all the birds. None of them from the smallest to the largest could figure out how to get to the seed. The four plastic flaps inside each feeder hole keep the birds beaks out. Cost me a lot and I cannot use it.
I was really excited to try out this squirrel proof feeder! This summer has been horrible with them knocking my bird feeders down. I came out the next morning after hanging this up to find this! The concept was nice but I guess the squirrels around me are smarter than I ordinarily thought :)
It’s well made and sturdy. Could not believe how fast the birds flocked to it ! Usually anything new birds need time to get use to using it - but this feeder attracted them instantly! Squirrel tried to get seeds but his weight closed feeder ports - worked great to keep him out! The rubber cut out feeder ports help hold seeds much better when birds peck at them to get seeds. The platforms leafy shape are wider than stick posts for birds to land on are great! Wider shape feeder posts are what I think attracted birds to hopping on feeder - lots of room for their feet. There are 4 feeding posts which work out just fine. Easy to fill up and hang. It’s mostly metal - only clear canister is plastic (a thick plastic) that holds seeds. A great all around feeder! You won’t be disappointed!
I think this is the worse designed bird feeder I've ever seen. I had to take it down because it wasn't working at all. It's now taking up space on my front porch I ended up digging my old bird feeder out of the trash and putting it back up. It might not be squirrel proof, but at least, it doesn't dump everything immediately to the ground where the birds are most vulnerable and the squirrels can freely eat. Here's the thing: the weighted closing off of ports is suppose to close the feeder off from squirrels. But without being able to adjust for weight, I think the baby squirrels can get into it. I'd probably not worry much about that; however, the silicone window covers that supposedly keep the seed in and the rodents out are a total joke. They were chewed out or pecked off inside of two weeks. I was wondering why the seed was going up so quickly. I was filling it up and it would be down inside of two hours. Then I realized it was all on the ground. As it got worse, the seed just fell out immediately since the little seed window covers were mostly gone. Put the seed in, and it just comes right back out. Like I said, worse design ever I strongly suggest that Chewy stop selling this product and that Perky Pet, which does make other decent products, go back to the drawing board on this one. It doesn't work at all. Also, in the first 2 weeks when it sort of worked, the 4 ports are really not enough for the hundreds of birds that come by our yard every day. More are needed.
