These carriers are great! I’ve been on the hunt for a good carrier that I could use for a 2 hour move. One of my cats is 12in tall and 15 lbs. It’s been a struggle to find a carrier large enough for him that will also allow two more carriers in the back seat. I ordered 3 of these and my biggest boy loves it. He’s been sleeping and playing in here and when I zip him up, he has plenty of room to look and move around (pictured). The one thing I will say is that after I assembled all 3 carriers, I did notice the zippers doing that thing where they separate after being zipped. This has only happened once and not while a cat has been in there. I also love the added seatbelt strap and how lightweight the carriers are. I would not trust a very feisty cat in here just because of the aforementioned zipper issues, but a well adapted cat (or dog) would do just fine. Like others have mentioned you do need a blanket as the bottom is not very padded but is very sturdy!
I love this dog carrier and so does my puppy. Sometimes she just likes to hang out in it. Usually she falls asleep as soon as our car ride begins. Things that I like: It's sturdy and well made, has a top and front opening, has a seatbelt strap, has mesh openings on all sides so my puppy can see out, the top and front opening can be rolled up, and it has handles that make it easy to carry to and from the car. I gave it four stars because of the removable liner. It's attached with velcro so sometimes my puppy spends the first part of the trip trying to pull the liner off the velcro. After washing the liner, there are little black fleece balls on my floor and her toys after my pup rides in her carrier. Also, sometimes she tries to chew on the velcro that's on the roll up flaps since the velcro piece is on the inside. Overall, I think this is a great carrier and I would recommend buying it!
My cat doesn't like pet carrier's. It took him under 10 minutes to escape from the carrier and break a zipper. I am sure that the zipper was the best the lowest bidder could provide. My wife and I traveled out of state with Judah (my cat). It turned out that we only could use the carrier between the car and the hotels. While we were on the road we let him out of the carrier before he would break another zipper and escape.
The overall product is cheap but I only need it for around town to secure my senior dog. However the reason for my one star is the insanely lousy one stupid strap in the back that does absolutely NOTHING to secure the car seat. Absolutely ridiculous you’d make a product that’s liable to tip over. I live in a heavy windy road area. I’m terrified it will tip. My dog is old with a back injury. I needed something to give me and him security while in the car and I don’t feel secure with this product. I can’t decide if I want to return it or add on straps to it myself. Cannot express how mad and displeased with this I am.
This carrier is missing a couple of things that would make it perfect. First, it needs adjustable straps (which are available on the small carrier, but not the larger one). Second, the seat belt strap is really low and a bit short, which makes it harder to put the seat belt through to strap the carrier in. Because of this, I see a lot of owners probably not using it (dear manufacturer: please make this process easier).
This is a very easy to assemble and put animal in bag. I have cats and one is 11 pounds and she fit well. I recommend this seems to be sturdy and easy to buckle them into the seat belt.
this carrier is perfect! Very roomy, soft pad included and easy for LuLu to get in and out of. Worth the $ for sure!
Best carrier I've found! I leave the carrier out in my apartment and often find my cat taking naps inside. He is 13 years old and arthritic so that is a high recommendation from him. At the vet, my cat tried to hide in his old carrier. Since the carrier completely unzips, my vet can easily get him out this carrier with minimal stress which is great. I have used this carrier for about 2 years with many trips to the vet and long car rides. It has held up well to all of this use. So far, nothing has frayed or started to tear.
My cat loves this. I love it for lots of reasons, but two are you can use a seat belt and you can unzip it and store flat.
We bought this for our 12 lb. miniature dachshund (31" nose to tail) and she fits in it just fine. I acclimated her to it prior to putting it in the car and she curled up and slept comfortably. She is new to us and I believe cars in general, but she did very well with a few adjustments. The clip supplied to attach to her harness was not big enough for the D rings so I had to purchase a larger one (a key ring & clip) and after the second ride I noticed that she was leaning on and collapsed the top front of the carrier, (which you can see in the photo I have added) so I used sticky-backed velcro and attached a ruler (fit perfectly) across the front to stabilize it. So hint to manufacturer, the thin wire around the top is not adequate. We hope to make many trips with this carrier and it seems like the ticket so far!
