This is a great pad to have, because when your dog or cat pees on the pad, it shows if your pet is okay health wise or if your pet is sick or has an infection based on a certain color that the pad shows. A person can the. treat the problem quickly before it becomes worse.

Unfortunately, when you have more than one cat, it is difficult to determine which cat used the pad. Although Lizzie is the one that does not use the litter, and since I don't watch the cats 24 hours a day, I would not be able to be certain it was Lizzie that used the pad. Also, I did not use the correct side the first time I used the pad. I then read the packaging more carefully and realized which side was the absorbent side.

Helped 2 of my Dogs!!!

I got these and right away they showed that 2 of my dogs had High PH. I took them to the vet and they found crystals in their urine. If it wasn't for these color

I got these and right away they showed that 2 of my dogs had High PH. I took them to the vet and they found crystals in their urine. If it wasn't for these color changing pee pads I never would have known. The vet said these are great, the dogs had exactly what it showed. He put them on a special diet to lower their PH. Get these pads! If the PH was left untreated both my dogs would get kidney stones.

really bad coloring

I read the instructions about the dark color up. When I went to use them I unthinkingly put them wrong side up. The second, the same. In my case I guess you can't

A little confusing

I have a pug, Maggi, who has Addison's, and now about a week ago she was diagnosed with diabetes. So, any way I can keep track of her health, I'm game. When I first saw these, I thought it was a great idea. But, first, nowhere on the box do they tell you that you need to lay the white side down, completely opposite of ALL other potty pads. I couldn't figure out why Maggi's urine kept running right off the pads. When I finally figured it out, I even went online to see if I could find anywhere that said, "White side down," but I couldn't. Also, they act like healthy urine will turn green, but it doesn't turn any color. It stays the same, and turns pink if the PH is off. Also, even when I did figure out white side is down, it still wasn't great with holding liquids. I had to have a bag rt there to throw it away in, because it would drip. Definitely a bit disappointed.
