This is the 3rd time I have received a defective product. The product has arrived with the seal breached and leaking. I used to love it since it did not contain any animal proteins, but since there is clearly some kind of manufacturing issue going on, I won't be buying it again.
My dog is given medication three times a day and this product makes it so much easier. It has the consistency of play doh and so far is staying perfectly pliable. Easy to mold around pills and my boy gobbles it up without hesitation.
This is a great product for those pills that do not fit other methods. It worked well with my difficult dog the first time, but he spitted the pill out the second time. The product works, and it is tasty, if no he would not have taken it... but he knows when there is a pill inside and he is very difficult. I recommend this product as I am sure it will be fine with most dogs.
The positive: Our dog cannot use the widely available pill pocket options; he has to have hypoallergenic treats and food, or those with novel proteins. I am so glad that this company makes this product and that you stock it. We are keeping it in the refrigerator as it is summer and we don't want the peanut oil to separate. It works great and our boy loves it! The negative: The product was the only thing in the shipment; it arrived in a giant box. We would really appreciate your pursuing less wasteful packaging.
We purchased this product to help get our elder dog to take his meds. He loves it and it works well. We're happy with our purchase.
This stuff makes giving your pet medicine so much easier! Definitely recommend getting this if you have any difficulty with your pet taking pills. I truly believe my dog thinks all medicine is a treat now. She literally comes running whenever she hears a pill bottle.
Our dog is on daily meds. Unlike most dogs, he's more than happy to take his pills. He seems to really enjoy this pill wrapper. I like that this is meat free and that you can use only the amount you need!!
First, give your dog the paste rolled in balls without medication in them for a couple of days. Then, wrap the pills in them. I have a 12-year-old Chi-Pom and she is extremely smart. I previously tried pill pockets and she would get to the pill and flick the pill out and eat the treat. If I mashed her pills into her food she wouldn’t eat it. If I put them in peanut butter she would eat the peanut butter and flick out the pill. Because I treated it like a new treat she was at first apprehensive and examined and smelled them before eating, but willingly ate them because I initially tried it without medicine inside. So when I did put medicine in them she quickly ate them because her prior experience was good. The paste really surrounds the pill well also!
My Westie is 13 and is on a lot of pills a day. He has an ultra sensitive stomach so it’s been hard to find a pill wrap that didn’t upset his stomach. He not only loves this pill wrap but it doesn’t upset his stomach. He’s been on it for 2 months, so that is a good trial period for stomach upsets. It’s very easy to use and only takes a little to cover a pill or capsule.
Much better than the pill pockets. I can as much or as little as we need for our dog pills. She likes it too! Very handy. I think I am saving money.
