This wand toy is the absolute go to plaything for my two cats. They love chasing the feathered tip as I move it around on the floor or along the walls. They even play with it on their own! They're not all that interested in the mouse on a string part of the toy. It would be nice if that were detachable so it could be removed without having to cut it off entirely. I had gotten a toy similar to this one many years ago for my former feline companions and the constant squeaky sound the little mouse made was so incredibly annoying that I stopped using it soon after. This time, instead of pulling the plastic tab out to activate the sound box, I cut the top of the tab off and pushed the remaining portion inside the toy. No more annoying squeak! This wand toy has taken a beating since it arrived about a month ago. It has lost most of its feathers and the elastic cord is now a bit frayed. It's obviously not built for longevity but my cats will definitely continue to enjoy it while it lasts.

great for energetic cats!

I have two active, playful young cats. There's a big focus on playtime in our home, to keep these energetic little balls of fur and chaos from making too much mischief. They get bored of chasing the same things time and again, and honestly, I get bored of it, too! So I added this cat wand to my order and figured we'd give it a try. Neither of my two cats play much with simple plush mice, but they LOVED this toy. If I drag it around, they stalk it and pounce on it. If I hide it, they burrow and dig to find it. If I pick it up in the air a bit, they chase after it to swat it down. The fact that it's attached by a bungee type of cord makes it even more exciting for them to go after, because the extra bit of springy bounce makes it less predictable. It makes them happy. And when my cats are happy with a toy, so am I. For my own sake, I wish I could turn off the squeaking sound the plush mouse makes. It's cute for the first few squeaks, but then it gets a bit annoying... But it does get my kitties' attention, so even though I'm not such a fan, it does add to the appeal of the wand for the cats!

Great to entertain cat, but does not stay in tact for long if you have a rough playing cat. If you are okay with frequent (this lasted us 3 weeks until it broke)
