Easy to wear, and my kitten is learning to love it. He likes sitting up and watching the world go by, but on longer hikes he won't lay down and chill, he can't see anything if he lays down, so it becomes a bit of a workout for him. The pockets are handy though... Overall, it’s a solid carrier for the price and works well for shorter adventures.

I looked at a lot of backpacks to take my cat on an occasional hike and to use as a carrier for very short car rides to the vet. This is one of the most normal sized backpacks I found. Aside from the necessary depth to hold an animal, it wears just like a standard backpack. My cat is very happy in it and I like that I can get her out with side zippers on both sides or from the center pouch zipper. It comes with a little mat for comfort and is overall very practical. I feel comfortable wearing it with my 10 pound cat in it, it is fully adjustable for my comfort, and even includes a chest strap for extra support. After a lot of searching, this is exactly what I was looking for.

First of all, it is well made. Larger than I expected (which means BOTH of my Chi puppies can ride at the same time). My granddaughter was especially impressed by the portable water dish that came with the pack. I'm glad I bought it, priced very reasonably for what you get. I believe it may even fit under the seat on an airline but not sure.

Really solid backpack given it's price and definitely still getting good mileage out of it even after a few months. I will say, definitely pair it up with a regular cat carrier if you're thinking of using it to bring your small animal to the vet. They do prefer sitting down, but as far as traveling goes 100% great and we love the little cat bowl that add easy-to-use ways to feed and give the cat water.

Large and sturdy without being bulky and bothersome

I bought this because my 14.1lb cat Goose had grown out of the initial backpack carrier I had bought for him when he was younger. This one is a bit wider and deeper

I bought this because my 14.1lb cat Goose had grown out of the initial backpack carrier I had bought for him when he was younger. This one is a bit wider and deeper than that one was, but most of the difference in dimensions is in height, which means he will be able to sit up without stooping. The big deal with this is how heavy duty everything is. This backpack is NICE! Very quality without being bulky. My Goose loves boxes and bags and as soon as I got it out to set up his safety harness (because there is a safety clip inside) this morning, he jumped in, curled up and fell asleep. Oh! And for people who's cats tend to burrow under the liners in their carriers: this one has Velcro underneath so the bottom stays under the cat!

Roomy and well-made - kitty approved

My 11lb kitty fit great in this carrier. He had a good amount of room, could lay or sit down. The mesh windows are nice and I like that all the zippers have buckle

My 11lb kitty fit great in this carrier. He had a good amount of room, could lay or sit down. The mesh windows are nice and I like that all the zippers have buckle locks to ensure he doesn't try to sneak out. The straps are comfortable and easy to adjust. Glad I picked this up, makes transporting my cat a lot easier for me and frees up my hands! Well made product that doesn't feel floppy/flimsy.

My dog was recently attacked by a bear and now has limited mobility in one of her hind legs. My other dogs were suffering because she couldn’t keep up so our walks ended early. Now I just put her in the pack and keep going. Everyone’s a winner! I can’t believe how quick she took to it!

This carrier pack is a cute design, and my cat was interested in getting in right away. However, it's not really big enough for her to lie down unless the pack is on its side, and when lifted, the structure sags a bit and felt insecure for both of us. I left the carrier lying around for her to sleep in and she did on occasion, but this isn't what I bought it for. Good price point, nice thought, but I will probably pass along to the animal shelter since this is more of a temporary transport solution than a carrier to use regularly. For reference, my cat is 9.5 lbs, pretty standard adult cat. This might work better for a toy dog or for a kitten.
