The dogs are kind of sloppy with their water, and I wanted something to keep the water off the floor. It doesn't that, but it's not quite large enough, so water

The dogs are kind of sloppy with their water, and I wanted something to keep the water off the floor. It doesn't that, but it's not quite large enough, so water still splashes beyond the mat at times. The rim around the edge is almost non-existent, and plus the fact that the mat is so floppy, you can't really pick it up and dump the water that collects. I would put up with that, but it's been down for about two weeks now and it still hasn't flattened out, so it's not very attractive in use.

I was hoping this would be a nice, inexpensive mat for water and food for our pup. Unfortunately, it rolls and does not lay flat. So, naturally, our puppy plays with it and drags it all over, flipping food off of it. We tried all of the things to make it lay flat: left it out in the sun, heated it with a blow dryer, sat heavy stuff on top. But, to no avail :(
