Are any toxic materials in this mat that will off-gas and smell? The culprits are usually low quality rubber or carpet that is pretreated. I am sensitive to chemicals. Thank you!

My elder cat sometimes misses the box and pees on the floor.....would this prevent the urine from getting through to the floor/wall area that it is covering?

What is the backing made of? I have LVP flooring and can not use anything with rubber or latex.

Various versions & shades of same product

I have ordered 4 of these, first one, then another, then this time I ordered 2 at the same time. Every one is slightly different. The first two had a smaller nap/pile,

I have ordered 4 of these, first one, then another, then this time I ordered 2 at the same time. Every one is slightly different. The first two had a smaller nap/pile, and even though I ordered the same shade of gray they are very different. Then I ordered two together and they came with a thicker pile and it actually feels nicer but there's something different about the two of them that when I sit them side by side they don't look the same. For context, I have them under the litter box as well as in front of the litter box so the cats don't track litter throughout the house. So it actually looks weird that they're all next to each other but somewhat different even though it's the same brand, size, and color. But in general it's a decent product and I was able to wash it after I vacuumed it really good.

I like this map because the one I got is nice and big and it actually does do the job of tracking most of the litter. It doesn’t trap all of the litter, but it does make a huge difference. I also love that this is a rug that I can easily vacuum over and it doesn’t get tangled in the vacuum. This has been a nice alternative to what we were using before and actually looks pretty good.

I got this because my cats don’t like stepping on the traditional litter trapping mats that have bumps and will jump over them to avoid stepping on them. So far

I got this because my cats don’t like stepping on the traditional litter trapping mats that have bumps and will jump over them to avoid stepping on them. So far I’ve notice that they don’t mind this mat at all and it traps most of the litter when they step on it. The litter however is impossible to clean off the mat unless you fold the whole thing and shake it off gently which is harder than it sounds. Maybe it’s user error but cleaning it is such a pain

The plastic backing detached in the wash, I should not have done the Soak Cycle on hot, my fault. It now slips very readily on my linoleum floor without it, which is troubling. Plastic smells nauseatingly like a pool floatie and if the cat pees on it, the scent combination is particularly bad. It does cut down on litter tracking very well though. Probably just fine if you're using this in a low traffic area, like a garage or basement, where it doesn't matter if this off-gases nonstop. In my bathroom, though, I'm not so sure. Maybe I am more sensitive to the scent than others. I'm considering other litter mat options. It's a shame. I also feel like the price is just a bit steep. But I don't know that other litter mats are quite as effective as this one, so there is that.

Overpriced

I like this mat because it’s easier to clean then loofah mats, but it is basically a piece of indoor outdoor carpeting and nothing more. I can’t get it to lay perfectly

The mats seem good quality but they didn’t work out for me based on the volume of litter tracked out of the four litter boxes I have for my five cats. The boxes (two grass seed & two wheat litter) are in an alcove and these mats seemed great to cover the area, but I found myself sweeping or vacuuming them twice daily to keep the debris under control, so I have switched back to a different style mat that traps the litter instead. If I had one to two cats I think these mats would have worked quite nicely.

I’ve had this less than a week. Creases from packaging never came out, not even after washing. (Wash instructions say delicate but it needs bulk wash.) The bottom

I was nervous purchasing this rug because some reviews said the rug couldn't withstand regular cleaning. I cut this rug to fit in our litter area and haven't had any issues with fraying. Vacuumed weekly to clean up tracked litter, spot cleaned for messes, all with no issues. Definitely great value for the price and it works wonders to reduce litter tracking.
