Litter Genie Plus was a great choice

I did a fair amount of research before I ordered the Litter Genie Plus, including watching youtube videos comparing it to the Litter Genie and Litter Genie Easy Roll. I also watched videos on setup and use. These were all very helpful. I'm pleased with my choice of the Litter Genie Plus and how easy it is to use. It takes up very little space and is odor free. With one large cat, it took over a week before I needed to empty it. I'm very pleased with my decision.

disappointed by defective product

I already have one litter genie and we wanted to get a second one for our second litterbox. Unfortunately this one arrived broken - the lid does not fully close, which means smells can get out and defeats the purpose. Also, the mechanism that slides out to trap the bag is broken too - it’s supposed to feel like it’s on a spring, and spring back into place when you’re not pulling it out. However, this one does not spring back into place.

Not great!

While this Litter Genie system is effective at keeping odors in check, the scoop is way too small. When I use my own scoop, it is too big for the opening on the container and it gets messy. I didn't realize how small this particular system is. I definitely would have ordered a larger one as I have two cats if I had understood the description better. Overall, it is just not the right product for my household.

ingenious contraption!

I used one of these for five years. It was beginning to chip and I saw a fancy one online with a totally different design. I spent literally 4 times as much. Unfortunately, the fancy, expensive one was far inferior to this one in terms of maintaining odor. So, I ordered a new Litter Genie and we are back on track. Although it feels flimsy, five years use is really good.

Little Genie saves times with the litter box

I wished I had this years ago, when I had my two beloved cats, brothers Marshall and Wylie. I hated tossing the litter every week in the trash chute. But when I adopted Bailey three months ago, this was a game-changing time-saver. I love that you only need to toss out the litter twice a month and need a refill every 3 months. And when I give Bailey a future sibling, I'll be buying another one for him and her, somewhere down the road. A must-have for cat owners, new and old, for kittens, adult and senior cats.

great product

This product does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It allows me to empty the litter box into a disposable bag that is easy to use and empty. You have to break up the litter lumps into smaller pieces to get it to go in which is annoying but it’s still worth it to have a smell free litter trash can.

Too messy

The opening where you dump the clumps is so small that I end up dumping some in the floor. Also I have to tilt it toward me or toward the box to try & angle the scoop in. It's just awkward and messy. I ordered this August of 2022 and just finished using the bags that came with it because it's such a hassle to use. I've went back to using plastic grocery bags.

Nice idea...poor execution

Had been using grocery bags and taking outside to the waste bin every day. Was hoping this would cut down on having to take straight to the outside garbage. The opening is not large enough, have to smoosh large clumps down creating a mess. We have 3 cats. This was pretty much full after only 2 days. Don't care that it fills up faster than the advertised 14 days but filling up after 2 days renders this product mostly useless for us. Just something else to clean with not much benefit. I know there is an XL but unsure if I want to try it after this failure. Plus, you have to awkwardly slide it towards you or attempt to pick up since there isn't a carry handle.

Life Changing

Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but the Litter Genie *has* made my life so much easier. It's well designed and well made in every detail, from the way it seals in the odor, to the continuous bag, to the easy to use (and safe) cutting edge.

I take really good care of my litter genie & wipe it down after each use, because of this my apartment never stinks, it looks great still, & nothing has broken ! I love it soooo much & it’s a life saver
