Good Bed - HIGH Maintenance

I needed a waterproof bed for my 15 year old baby who is incontinent and cannot take any meds to stop it. I wash her beds EVERYDAY! I needed a bed that is REALLY waterproof. The only thing waterproof is the memory foam pad that is difficult to remove. My dog likes the bed and it's the perfect size but she won't sleep in a soiled bed. You have to unzip the back, take out the memory foam pad that's in a zipper cover, wash and dry the bed without the pillow, then try and stuff that pillow back inside! This is A LOT OF WORK for everyday. I need a bed I can just throw in the washer and dryer. This is NOT the one. This is better for a young dog who is continent.

My dad gave me this dog bed for my small shiba (17lb) for Christmas, and I am super wowed. I’m not sure why I’m surprised because I love the other PetFusion products I’ve purchased, but this is the best pet bed I’ve seen yet. The bolsters are well filled and hold their shape, unlike the Frisco bolster bed I have in the same size. This one actually has seams at the corners. All of the materials are soft. The microfiber velour on the bolsters is easy to remove fur with a directional garment brush. The memory foam bottom is on the thin side - I think it’s 1” - but high quality and firm and for now anyway, is helping the bed keep its shape. There could be two of my dog in this bed with room to spare so I doubt she’ll wear it out, but a larger dog or one who digs/burrows might be hard on that thin layer of foam. The waterproof cover for the memory foam should help to protect it for a while though. I’ll update this review after a bit if I’m able to discuss durability.

No Support
This is well made on the sides but the bottom has no support. The bed ripped apart at the seam when lifting it. It's unfortunate as it was very soft. I had to toss

Not Machine Washable
You can remove the memory foam mattress but the outer bed cover, including the full bolsters, have to be washed. The bolsters are pretty heavy. I do not know whom

The idea on adding the fabric to this bed is genius!!! Crouton always kicks the blankets of the couch and out of her bed. She burrows in this and snoozes all night
