Led to high BUN levels

I so badly wanted to love this food, but unfortunately it led to high blood urea nitrogen (BUN) levels in multiple dogs. I first purchased this for my senior pup with skin issues after he went through a phase after a medical event where he wouldn't eat anything and the canned Tripe from this brand was the only thing he'd eat. He liked the taste of the food and I liked that it seemed like high-quality nutrition. Unfortunately, my dogs BUN levels on his blood work soon started to rise and stay high. The vet said it can sometimes be caused by too much protein in the diet, so I started mixing this food with a lower protein food and sure enough his BUN levels went down to normal levels. After my pup passed away I had a lot of this food left over and have fed it to foster dogs. 2 of which have also had high BUN levels after eating this food (the others are unknown as they did not get blood work done). After I switched the most recent dog off this food, his BUN levels went back to normal. So if you're feeding this food and your dog's BUN levels are high, this food is probably the problem.

More Pleasant Than Canned Tripe!

My dogs love tripe and it is so good for them. but the odor of the canned variety is gross! This formula is much easier to use and my dogs love it just as much!

Either dog would eat this one

King and Royal normally love this brand of food. They would not eat this at all
