Designed By Someone Who Doesn't Understand Cats

This item is poor and I would not recommend it. The way it divides the portions into two bowls is with a piece of plastic that rotates to divide one portion into

This item is poor and I would not recommend it. The way it divides the portions into two bowls is with a piece of plastic that rotates to divide one portion into two. It is hard to rotate to the correct spot in order to even the two portions. On top of that: cats are smart and two cats eating from the same source are going to know where the food is coming from. My one cat continuously reaches into the delivery shoot to force more food towards her end and has realized she can repeated swat at the plastic hinge in order to force all of the food towards her. I will come back from a couple days away to see one of my cats has been barely receiving any dry food. My advice is to go for a higher end 2 cat system that has two chutes or to get two individual automatic feeders.

Because our cats are smart, they always grab the mouse at the center. The mouse last only a week. I seen it on the floor next day. Anyway, spray a catnip scent spray around the post, they loved that.

Broken after 1.5 months

The feeder was broken during our overnight trip, no food was coming out and our cats were hungry for 24 hours. This was after 1.5 months of purchasing the feeder

As I stated, this was a little hard to put together. It also doesn’t divide the food perfectly. I have two cats, and Iwas hoping to use this, especially when I am not home. Sadly, my hog of a cat eats all the food before the other cat can have a chance. Ha! What I need is a feeder that will only allow one cat to eat at a time. I have looked and it doesn’t exist. I am using this product at 5 AM and at 8 AM so that my dieting cats don’t pester me. My smaller cat doesn’t mind waiting for me to get up. So, it has worked well for that. The chubby guy gets enough food to keep him happy. The noise of the food hitting the bowls, that others have described, is minimal. Definitely not a big deal. I’m glad that I have it, even though it hasn’t worked out the way I had hoped that it would.

We own a single PetLibro feeder and are very pleased, so we ordered the double feeder for our kittens, who eat separately from our elder cat. The funtion is great
