Overall, I like this automatic feeder, and I only have two complaints. My first complaint is that the dispenser is a little small, so if you have dry food that is slightly bigger, it struggles to dispense it properly. For example, I have to set the dispense amount higher to 3/12 cup at a time for the Royal Canin prescription cat food, but can easily dispense 1/12 cup at a time with a smaller kibble. The feeder does give instructions on what size kibble to use, but most dry food does not specifically state the size of each piece of food. Because it only works well with small kibble, I would not recommend this for those with dogs. Dry dog food is generally larger and I don't think it would be able to dispense if it's struggling to dispense larger dry cat food. Second, it can be quite loud when the food dispenses, since it falls into stainless steel bowls. It's nice for the cats to hear it, but not great for a small apartment if you're a light sleeper, and I still prefer it over hungry cats screaming at me in the middle of the night. I now keep it on the other side of the apartment and close my bedroom door at night which solves that problem. This is the only automatic feeder I have used, and I love it. I was worried about the transition since one of my cats eats too fast sometimes, but being able to control the portion sizes and schedule when they dispense has been helpful.

Although we had some minor issues with connecting at first along with figuring out the correct amounts, we love this feeder! I love being able to control it using the mobile app. I wish I would’ve gotten this sooner!
