High hopes but not working out

Bought two similar placemats, both have the same issue: It’s a good size and easy to clean, unfortunately it’s too slick and doesn’t stay put on the table I feed

Bought two similar placemats, both have the same issue: It’s a good size and easy to clean, unfortunately it’s too slick and doesn’t stay put on the table I feed the cats on. It slides around if they move too quickly on it and if they are eating too enthusiastically, the bowls slide all over it. I’ll have to go back to the silicone mats that don’t slip around.

Roxy gets quite thirsty but hangs out in our rooms away from her water bowl in the kitchen. My daughter decided to bring her old water bowl to her room but she’s kinda messy when she drinks and she needed to place a hand towel under her bowl to catch the water. I got this mat to be an easy wipe of the water and it is. We still put a towel under it but at least it’s not possibly soaking the towel.
