FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

I found a lost pet with one of your collars on. Is there a way to locate the owner?

It can be very concerning to find a lost pet, and most of us want to find the owner as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, at this time, there is not a way to match the collar with the owner. Contact your local animal control to understand what services are available in your area to help locate the owner.

Can I use the remote trainer on aggressive dogs or use it to stop a dog from being aggressive?

We do not recommend any of our products to be used on aggressive dogs. If you are unsure if your dog is aggressive, please consult your veterinarian or a certified trainer.

Is the stimulation safe and humane?

While the static correction is unpleasant, it is harmless to your pet. Electronic training devices require interaction and training from the owner to achieve the desired results.

What age does my dog need to be before I can introduce them to the system?

Your pet should be old enough to recognize basic obedience commands such as “sit” and “stay” (approximately 4 to 6 months).

What do I need to do if my pet’s neck becomes red and irritated?

This very rare incident occurs when the collar is worn longer than designed. We recommend it not be worn more than 12 hours per day. Please discontinue using the collar until the affected area has healed and consult a veterinarian if necessary. This situation is not limited to static correction collars; it can happen with any collar your pet wears for too long.

I have a dog that needs a lot of attention. I decided to get this remote trainer because the bark collar we got for her 6 months ago, despite working well, has caused skin damage at her throat, and I am looking for something less invasive. This looked harmless enough, and the reviews, while not great, looked encouraging. First, this item requires a screwdriver to open and insert a battery. Uh oh, this is not good. But okay, I guess if the manufacturer wants to make sure the item is sturdy, and may be prone to being dropped, that may be a good idea. I open the case, and attach the required 9v battery...and it doesn't fit. The casing is too small to hold the battery. I cannot close the I have a dog that needs a lot of attention. While the trainer does emit sounds that the dog can hear and react to, this is just a no-go. It gets returned immediately. … more

My husband didn’t believe this would work. Had workmen in doing flooring. Each time they came back into the house, dogs barked. I grabbed the device, push the “N” button and they both immediately stopped barki. My husband witnessed this and said, “gee, guess it really does work!” Dogs see us pull it out an scramble!

  • A whole new dog!

Honestly I was worried this wouldn't work, as our dog has taken every other tactic to stop bad behavior as an invitation for more bad behavior. It not only works, it has changed our dog for the better. We actually have only pressed it under ten times in the two weeks or so we've had it, but our dog has stopped barking nonstop and destroying our carpet even when we just show her the remote! THANK YOU! Only thing is she's also scared of the "positive" noise, but we didn't buy this for that noise!

  • instant gratification

We had an awful holiday season, with the dog constantly barking at family and guests. Took him to a trainer, who suggested we try this. Wow! It worked instantly. I use it when people come to the front door, on walks, and when we have company. One click and the dog stops barking.

I purchased this Ultrasonic device instead of the shock color to see if I could get the results I wanted without having to shock my young dog. Worked perfect. Results were great. She listens and is coming along great

We've used the remote only once when my dog was excessively barking for no reason, and she immediately stopped. I would definitely recommend. I have a small cocker spaniel that approx 30 lbs.

The dog is occasionally mildly aware of it. He is a 7 month old lab/shepherd mix. It isn't helping.
