my young adult cat loves to eat! I have had something similar before when I owned labrador retrievers. She is food motivated like one ofthose, so I was glad to find this product. As suggested, we decrease the amount of food she gets from her automatic feeder so that she would show more interest in this ball. Shedoesn't exactly chase it all over the house the way my dog used to, but she does interact with it several times a day to get the foodout. She is a smart girl and does a good job rolling it around so the food comes out. If you don't want to have to vacuum up crumbs and don't want to deal with a toy that is going to make a mess if you it, this is not the product for you. Both my husband and myself have accidentally done that multiple times and then have to pick up cat food that has scattered in its path as it . I suppose we could leave it there for the cat to take care of, but we just put it back inside the ball. You adjust the size of the holes And I think this toy is an excellent enrichment item that engages more natural cat behavior.

My cat is puzzle feeder expert, and this thing is no exception. Not content to simply bat it around and let it dispense the food at the difficulty I've set, she has figured out how to open it and dump it all out at once! While not its intended use, it still keeps her getting into "good touble" instead of getting into things she isn't supposed to... so it doesn't so much work as a slow feeder for us, but it does force her to use her brain and work for the food at least a little bit. I use this for smaller portions of her meals, and other puzzles for the remainder.. so she doesn't eat too much at once, no matter how ornery she's feeling that day!

Great way to engage your cat.

I had high hopes for this. I also really like the two different size holes so you can adjust for difficulty and for the size of the kibble your cat eats. My cat likes this toy well enough as well. It does slow down her eating but it doesn’t provide her much exercise. She make sure it’s up against a solid surface so she can bat it around without moving and have thr kibble fall out. Unfortunately my cat is really smart and I came home from work and she had taken the lid off. There is no bell so it’s quite to use after you go to bed which has decreased her complaints at 4am for food.

I loved the concept.

My cats just don't find this interesting. And i really am not willing to starve them enough to get them motivated to use it. But the design is pretty good... unless

My cats just don't find this interesting. And i really am not willing to starve them enough to get them motivated to use it. But the design is pretty good... unless you use kibble that's the 1/4" size nuggets. Those just fall out really easily even if you have the holes set to the size to allow them to fall out, they either don't come out at all or they come out really fast. Oh well.

Should be called Fat Cat

Is there a thing called quality control anymore? This ball provides way too many treats at a time so you really need to tape up one of the holes. The size is better suited for a German Shepherd rather than a cat. Slightly smaller would be better. My cat barely taps the thing. I have to roll it for her.

Cute Idea, but the holes aren’t very great

I think that this toy would be more interactive for my cat if there were more holes and variety to make the treats harder to get out. They kind of just fall out

Decent treat ball, just needs better customization

I got this to keep my cats preoccupied while I'm busy. At least it's better than the handmade cardboard puzzle "ball" I made that wouldn't roll LOL. Easy to use. I just wish narrowing the small holes didn't also enlarge the large holes, and it could use one fewer hole for each size. And the lock isn't very sturdy; I was able to easily shift the difficulty even with the lock engaged. But at least my cats like it. I got two balls: the green one to hold dry food, and pink one for treats. I'd recommend keeping them confined to a large box so they don't roll under the couch or whatever.

Old man is into it

This is one of the only toys that will get Fitz out of his bed for a prolonged period... As long as I keep his younger brother distracted enough so he doesn't swoop
