Helpfull toys are the best toys!
By Rsmith on Dec 21, 2020
This is a great tool to have if you have a highly food motivated cat with lots of energy to burn or who likes to get him/herself into trouble. It definitely keeps the little monster busy for a little while. I like that it's adjustable, however, we are already at the most difficult setting and he already has it mastered after only a couple of weeks! It hasn't really slowed him down, so I don't know about portion control but for a cat who isn't rediculously smart and determined to eat everything in sight maybe.... I will say it has become harder to adjust the difficulty over time. Crumbs have gotten between the two pieces of plastic, making it not as smooth when adjusting the holes. Great Puzzle Feeder for Fast Eaters
By PuzzleFeeder on Dec 29, 2020
One of my cats eats each meal like its her last. I bought this puzzle ball hoping it would slow her down.... because eating super fast doesn't bode well with her tummy. I wasn't sure if she would be interested because she doesn't go for normal cat toys, but boy was I wrong. She loves her puzzle ball and she looks super cute pushing it around! I fill it with a mix of her normal food and a few treats to keep her motivated to use it.

Great for food-motivated feline
By Janelle on Jan 12, 2021
I recently adopted a three-year old cat who is very food motivated. I bought this to slow down his eating and give him a challenge. I don't know how much exercise it's giving him, although it's definitely more than sitting at his bowl would. I wish the two halves came apart for better cleaning, and it's not the heaviest duty object, but I think it was a good purchase.

Great, simple product
By Nicole on Jan 2, 2021
Our vet recommended a puzzle feeder for our cat to decrease her weight and also provide mental stimulation. This feeder is super simple, yet effective. Now my cat eats when she’s truly hungry, not just bored. She figured out how to access her food right away. And the kids enjoy watching her nudge the ball with her head to dispense her food. Definitely a good purchase!

Took Some Getting Used To
By Jared on Nov 15, 2020
I had to put my cats favorites treats in the ball and show it to her several times before she finally caught on. Now it works great and I use it to supplement her food bowl, she rarely eats too fast in the morning now as she plays with the food ball. Sometimes she plays with it even when she still has food in her bowl!

Small Crack
By Kathe on Dec 27, 2020
There was a small crack in one of the connecting tabs but the ball went together. Unfortunately my 8 year old just wasn't interested in batting it around. She'd just nudge it with her head to make a piece of food come out rather than batting and chasing it. That's cats for you.

Good for food motivated cat
By Megan on Dec 28, 2020
I adopted a former stray (adult) kitty. She has a serious obsession with all food - human included. This has helped slow her down. I do wish the hole could be a little smaller. The kibble I used easily falls through the holes on the smallest size. :/

Zero Interest
By simplydawn on Nov 14, 2020
Excitedly purchased one when my vet recommended it for my chubby cat. Unfortunately, my kitty has shown no interest in it whatsoever. The dog liked it, however...so much so that I had to move it to the Cats Only room to keep it from being destroyed. You win some, you lose some.

She hasn't taken any interest
By Joey on Oct 27, 2020
Seems like a great idea, and I have nothing to compare it to, but Nairobi has taken no interest in it even though she's a real hunter with all the other toys (and with ME when she was young). Rating is because it's easy to use and seems to work as advertised. Maybe it's just not for my cat.

Interactive ball toy snack dispenser
By feederballtoy on Dec 3, 2020
Bought 2 of these and so far a great snack holder and play thing. It just seems that the lock and top lid may get loose through wear and tear. Will buy 2 more in the future as replacements.
