Catit Senses 2.0 Cat Digger Slow Feeder

This is awesome. Both my cats took turns getting used to it, ignoring it, fighting over it but now they both love it and eat side by side playing with their food. They were previously both food obsessed and wolfed their food down in seconds. I was worried this would frustrate them or just not interest them but they enjoy working for their food and it significantly slowed their eating down. They even leave some food behind to play with later which was previously unheard of for these fatties. It provides excellent stimulation and has made mealtime better for all of us. It is easy to get food out but still takes some time so it serves as an excellent slow feeder. They both picked up on the technique This is awesome. The box said to teach them gradually but there was no need. It is slightly messy with a few food bits on the floor while they’re playing with it but they eat those bits eventually. Otherwise it is super easy to clean and stays in place much better than their bowls. I asked chewy chat about this feeder before I bought it and their advice was dead on. I loooove this feeder!! I have 3 large cats; one is food greedy and 2 are grazers. The youngest isn't very fond of the dry but I keep it in rotation for errand days or vacations because it can stay out unlike wet food. This slows down the chow hound and gets the youngest to eat his kibble! Our youngster is a hunter and with this feeder he now eats about 3 times what he was eating off of the plate because he loves digging out the kibble. Soooo happy I tried this. Might not work for everyone, but for us it worked perfectly!

I've had this feeder for 2 years now, and it's been the perfect solution to my frequent work trips and keeping my boredom and overweight-prone cat busy. She actually seems to enjoy using it and scoops out multiple kibbles at once and eats them from her paw. It's helped keep her from scarfing all of her food in one go and keeps her devious little mind active. Highly recommend.

But she only gets to rent the food, not own it, because she's puked up almost every meal I've given her for months. I switched up her food, started feeding her with smaller amounts but in more feedings through out the day, I MAY have caused corona virus when trying to make a deal with the ancient one, Belial Lord of Flies where he would help keep the food INSIDE the cat. But this slow feeder has fixed not only my cat's puking problems but also my hanging-by-a-string, puke-smeared mental health. this is easy enough to fill and my fast-eating cat did not have any trouble figuring out how to use it. to the contrary, he still eats faster from the slow feeder than my other cats eat out of a bowl, and then goes for their food - the exact problem i bought this product to solve. He also now takes apart his water fountain and really anything else he thinks may have a scrap of food hiding inside. So, i guess it doesn't solve our problem 100%, but it has slowed him down a little.

My cats love this thing! My older cat (pictured) was throwing up because he was eating too fast; he’s a glutton. I bought this, hoping it would slow him down and be stimulating for increased play. He loves it and even has his sister (kitten) playing with it, trying to get the food and treats out. I started by putting a treat or two inside and showed them how they were supposed to do it. They got the hang of it in a couple of hours!

The Digger is a great starter puzzle feeder for kitties! You can take out the green cups to start with a shallower/easy 'dig' and then add them back once the cat has gotten the hang of it. Catit's puzzle feeders have been really helpful for our cat who eats too fast from a normal dish (and would throw up).

Once my cat got the hang of eating out of the bowl he loves it! I found out he’s a “southpaw”! He will not touch his food with his right paw! It slows him to a couple pieces at a time and it’s staying down.

I was hoping to use this for my cat who eats way too fast, but this is just not for a smart cat. He literally ignored digging for the food and ripped the cups out of the feeder with his teeth. He was so proud of himself lol. I can imagine this works for cats who like to dig but sadly not for my mine. For anyone not having luck with this try Doc & Phoebes Hunting Mice, my cat LOVES hunting these in the house! =)

Within the first thirty seconds of seeing this feeder, our kitten figured out that she could bite the cup, lift it out, and dump it on the floor. Would have potential if the cups could lock or something, but its purpose was instantly defeated.
