How do you open this thing? Trying to figure out how to get the 2 halves to come apart?

This interactive cat feeder does not open into two halves. This opens by turning and releasing the compartment lid. Adjust the hole size to allow one piece of food to pass through easily. To adjust the hole size, slide open the small lock mechanism conveniently located on the side of the SlimCat, and rotate the top of the SlimCat to the desired hole size. Then slide back the lock mechanism.

my cat's food is blue buffalo which is very small pellets so what's the smallest you can make the hole(s)

The opening for this product will measure approximately 1 inch when fully adjusted. This product is compatible with most dry foods in all sizes and hold up to 2/3 cups of dry kibble or treats.

Is this ball easily lost? I imagine I would have a tough time finding this wherever they last left it.

Locating this feeder would depend on a few factors. Such as the size of the home or area the cat is playing in or the cat themselves. Since all cats play differently, we wouldn't be able to determine how easy it is to find the feeder. This feeder measures 3 ¼ inch in diameter.

Perfect Design For Chickens, Affordable

I've bought 6 of these so far, I put seeds or mealworms in them for my chickens. I've even modified one so it hangs. The holes can be adjusted for different treat

I've bought 6 of these so far, I put seeds or mealworms in them for my chickens. I've even modified one so it hangs. The holes can be adjusted for different treat sizes, so if you use small seeds like millet or canary seed, you can make it more challenging. Much better than the treat dispensers marketed for chickens. My chickens prefer I put their treats in their balls rather than scattering them on the ground, they scratch and peck at them to knock the treats out. I think it makes their little birds brains feel so smart & accomplished.

Active food intake

I like almost everything about this and my cat uses it! The best thing, is that you can put a lot of kibble inside the ball, and the kibble can be most any size

The best thing, is that you can put a lot of kibble inside the ball, and the kibble can be most any size as there are different sized holes to dispense the kibble. The only down side, it because there are so may holes, I had to place tape over several of the holes or she would get too much kibble. Overall, I recommend this item and would purchase it again.

Too many holes

Was very excited when I saw these. Ordered 2 for my 3 cats to be used for treats and food. Ajusted the openings several times to suit the size of the treat, but

Was very excited when I saw these. Ordered 2 for my 3 cats to be used for treats and food. Ajusted the openings several times to suit the size of the treat, but there are too many openings so when it rolls it leaves behind a trail of treats. It was empty in seconds. They won't be used for kibble, so they won't be used. I can control their treats better by hand than having them roll out almost all at once and be wolfed down by the treat monsters.

This treat ball puzzle is amazing!

I will start by saying that whether this ball puzzle works is dependent on the personality of your cat. One of my cats is not food/dry treat motivated so this does

I will start by saying that whether this ball puzzle works is dependent on the personality of your cat. One of my cats is not food/dry treat motivated so this does not interest him. However, i bought this for my other cat that needed mental stimulation and a slower feed in general. And this ball puzzle checked both of these boxes. He LOVES this ball puzzle. The holes can be adjusted to accommodate a large kibble, like his dental kibble, so this is the only way I give his dental kibble anymore. Otherwise he eats primarily wet food. While slowing down his eating of the dental kibble, this also mentally stimulates him. I've noticed a less ornery, overall demeanor with him when using this. Definitely an amazing buy for us.

Fun while eating pace is slowed.
