Our wild birds & squirrels love the seed log. The holder is something that ends up falling on the ground at least once until the log is eaten. It hasn't broken & can be put back together. A little bent, but still usable.

Looks good. . . but?
I see no directions as to which end of the shaft goes up or down? And when I finished, there is a 6"space above the seed log! I'll be surprised if a squirrel does

This feeder has an excellent design that makes assembling, refilling, and cleaning so easy! The feeder has just three parts, the base, the post that holds the seed logs, and the roof, which has an attached hanging hook. The entire feeder is metal, and is practically self-cleaning, since there's no place for seed to become stuck. The birds in my yard will perch on the circular rung on the base, or sometimes they grip the seed log itself. The roof provides the birds some protection from the rain, and it helps keep the seed logs fresh and dry. Depending on the type of seed log I have inserted in the feeder, I will see a wide variety of birds. In my area, Central Pa, black-capped chickadees and Carolina wrens are fond of any of the seed logs, but I will also see a variety of woodpeckers, finches, and some cardinals visit.
Seems like a good feeder
I’ve never owned a bird feeder before. Ido feed birds & squirrels by throwing seeds etc outside so this seemed nice for them. It holds the log type not loose seeds
I’ve never owned a bird feeder before. Ido feed birds & squirrels by throwing seeds etc outside so this seemed nice for them. It holds the log type not loose seeds. I don’t have a tree to hang it on but placed it in the grass where I usually feed them. It’s been raining , windy & cold lately so they haven’t used it yet but I’m sure they will when they discover it. It’s easy to slide the seed log on it. It seems well made, I’d recommend this feeder.
Convenient Bird stand tray but feels cheaply made
This bird tray seems to be cheaply made. It should be very simple to put together but it was weird trying to screw it in straight. The lid itself is a little lopsided
This bird tray seems to be cheaply made. It should be very simple to put together but it was weird trying to screw it in straight. The lid itself is a little lopsided. The paint dents easily. Doesn't seem super secure. It does work conveniently with the logs of food as they pop right onto the stem. Would not recommend at the $39.99 price point it's listed for. Maybe $10-15. Ill have to see how it holds up.
