How do you disassemble/clean the pump?

Definitely a heavier item, wouldn’t want with dogs that could knock it over as the pieces are just placed on top of one another. But for my small Pomeranian, it’s no issue. I got this because the stainless steel fountain I had had a ring from hard water after years of use. So happy with my purchase, like other reviews state is loud- mine doesn’t come with any function to turn it up or down. The sound doesn’t bother me at all, I live in a studio apartment and mostly tune it out. Only downside is it has a very unique shaped filter so I imagine buying replacements is limited.

Don't buy the ceramic version

I love my stainless-steel version of this fountain. I got the ceramic one for another room. Not only is it extremely heavy, it broke after the second time I washed

I love my stainless-steel version of this fountain. I got the ceramic one for another room. Not only is it extremely heavy, it broke after the second time I washed it. On the base there is a column that goes up to the top lid (just north of where the pump compartment goes); that column snapped from the base, causing a hole and rendering the entire fountain unusable. Don't bother with the ceramic one; I do highly recommend the stainless-steel one!

Unfortunately however after a full day and a half of both cats drinking liberally from bubbler something went wrong while I was out for an hour and my older went under the bed and shunned both me and Ferrari who was still drinking from the bubbler. For now I’m using the water bowl itself without the pump and they are both drinking water liberally again. I have no idea what went wrong, Sylvyie, my older cat was enjoying the sound of the pump and the bubbler before I left the house.

Looks good but.....

I'll just list what irritates me about it, I don't have anything nice to say. The motor is loud, I can hear it vibrating all over my apartment. When I first tried

I'll just list what irritates me about it, I don't have anything nice to say. The motor is loud, I can hear it vibrating all over my apartment. When I first tried to get it started it wouldn't circulate the water, even though I had followed the directions. I repeatedly emptied the water, changed the settings on the motor and refilled the fountain. After about 6 times it FINALLY started to circulate strong enough to get the water moving but the motor is too loud, If I want it quieter I have to set the motor lower then it doesn't circulate water. There is no where in my apartment (over 1000 sq ft) where I don't hear it and the noise scares off the cat, he won't go near it.

My cat loves it!

Had this same model before, worked great and my cat loved it. It’s easy to take apart and clean. Glad that replacement filters are available through Chewy.

Had this same model before, worked great and my cat loved it. It’s easy to take apart and clean. Glad that replacement filters are available through Chewy. But two of the suction cups on the plastic case holding the pump assembly in place broke off over time (over 2 years). Wish this part was available rather than having to purchase the entire fountain.

I loved this bowl when I first got it and so after we were in a fire I bought it again. I’m not sure if the quality has gone down recently but when I was going to

I loved this bowl when I first got it and so after we were in a fire I bought it again. I’m not sure if the quality has gone down recently but when I was going to clean it, the ceramic tube part snapped off. I never had issues with it before but I’ve noticed more people are having this issue. I hope they work on a redesign or better quality materials because this bowl works way better than the plastic ones that are more difficult to clean.

best fountain design ive seen

i had the stainless steel version for 5 years, it still works i just gave it to a friend, which is why i bought this ceramic version it looks and feels very nice

I've had this for 3 years. I like the heavy duty ceramic. It was a little difficult to clean the pump at first only because it was hard to remove the cover, but it is easier now. The one time I thought the pump had burned out and needed replaced, it turned out I had not cleaned it adequately. When I did it started right up again so maintenance is critical for continued operation.
