It will not stand up to hours of constant play, but short play sessions are fun and entertaining. It is washable and I leave it on top of the dryer until dry. My dog knows it is there and “requests “ to play with it above her other hard chew toys. For the cost, I would be disappointed if it didn’t last one play session but so far, we’ve gotten three sessions AND a machine wash.
My dog ripped this toy open in less than 30 minutes. He’s only 86lbs.
this did actually smell like PB when i first got it, but has since worn off (at least to my human nose). 50lbs mastiff puppy really enjoys it for tug of war and fetch, fits perfectly in his mouth, but i would not leave him alone with it for extended periods of time. he has chewed holes in all 4 'corners' of the bone, but the stuffing appears to stay in very well (doesnt pull out easily, looks kind of woven or spun), so i just trim the loose blue threads so they don't entice him further and put it away after were done using it.
Disappointed. Only squeaked once and never again. My pups are not interested in it.
If you're thinking about buying this for its scent, don't bother. It doesn't smell like anything. It does seem to be pretty well constructed and is pretty firm. We haven't used it a lot yet. I save it as a travel toy so it's new every time but definitely disappointed that it doesn't have any smell to it as advertised especially for the price.
Just adopted a rescue and she literally chews through every toy we get her, especially if it has a squeaker. This dog bone has not only been one of her favorites, but actually lasts more than 24 hours. I'm not saying it's indestructible, but it has been worth it
My dog could not wait for me to get this out of the package. She smelled it as soon as it came out of the box and was ready to play! Sadly, it lasted about as long as it took me to unpackage it before she had holes in it at one of the seams on the “corner” of the bone and at the loop where the toy was attached to the packaging. I don’t necessarily blame the product for this because my dog is a shark monster and will gnaw toys to their death in a fraction of a second. So to sum up, she absolutely loved it, it just wasn’t a great toy for her because of who she is as a dog. If your dog chews normally or just fetches it’s probably great.
My three-year-old Beagle tears into EVERY toy out there, soft or hard, even the ones that claim to be durable. But she doesn't tear into this one at all. The only destruction comes from using the edges to massage her gums and the fabric has worn off. She LOVES this toy! The squeaker inside makes it even more fun! We just squeak, squeak it and she comes running. It's even light enough that she can toss it up herself and chase it around wherever it falls.
Bob really likes this toy but like with similar toys, he finds a corner or seam and begins to work on it to get to the stuffing. He knows I don't like him to do this so he puts himself between me and the toy. Really nice engaging toy but not for Bob. The similar ball survives because there are no ends or corners. He likely will find a seam eventually. Thanks
We love these toys! Our 17# Boston destroys every toy but these toys. He has 6, it's pretty much all we buy now.
