I had high hopes but low expectations that this would last a little while. In less than 10 minutes he had the first chunk off. In 30 it was nothing but pieces. Note this is for young and actively teething dogs. My dog is neither which is why I’m giving it 3 stars instead of 1. Because it was solid rubber, I thought, hoped it might last for a bit. I was wrong. He was extremely excited to get it. He ran around the house with it for a few minutes trying to decide where he could “hid” with it. He didn’t even try to come in the kitchen when I was making his dinner. He always comes in when he hears or smells the fish & meat. But not this time.

My dog likes to chew on it for a bit when she remembers she has it. My one major complaint is it took her about five minutes to start taking chunks out of it. So far she's only taken smaller bits off, so I still let her chew it when I'm watching her. Turns out she's figured out how to leverage the little spikes in a way that she can pull it apart. I wouldn't say it has a funny odor, but I don't have a fantastic sense of smell. My dog doesn't seem to notice / be drawn to any scent or flavor.

Loved everything about this chew toy from the yellow color, idea of chicken flavor (pups ♥️ chicken!) and then once they started going at it, the nibbles or bumps on the bone began to fly off and made a mess all over the house! I can’t say they didn’t love it, but would be hard for me to allow the pups to have another one because they’re pretty destructive with toys! Hence the reason for the 3 stars. Overall, the dogs really like this chew toy!

I have a very energetic German Shorthair Pointer. She loves chewing on toys. I gave her this bone when we got it, she chewed it on it the first night but that's it. She really hasn't touched it since. She has gone back to her old raggedy bone she has and the new one just gets kicked around randomly by us. Maybe it's the texture for her. This one is soft and nubs. Her bone she loves is very hard.
