It's certainly a teething ball! My dog was obsessed with it from the second I took it out of the package - it must have been the peanut butter scent or flavor because he did NOT want to let it go. Unfortunately this meant he literally wanted to chew on it for an hour straight. The nubs are quite easy for them to snip off, so please be sure to keep an eye on your pup when they're using it. He also oddly decided to resource guard this one particular toy? We've never had issues with anything in the past, I'm wondering if it was the flavor aspect? Otherwise, it's definitely something to occupy a dog who's in the "I'll chew on anything" stage for a while to give you peace of mind! About the size of a tennis ball too, so a safe toy. If your dog lets you have it, it's also fun to toss as the nubs send it in different directions. Definitely don't try to bounce it though.

Let me begin by saying my dog is not crazy about ANY hard rubber toys. Having said that, he likes this one a lot better than most. He will play fetch with it. Occasionally he plays with it on his own, but rarely because, as I said, he's not crazy about hard rubber toys. I would say he plays with this more than most toys like this and it certainly is durable. If you've got a chewer, it would probably deserve 5 starts. I give it 4 only because my particular dog was not crazy about it.

Great toy for 7 month old pup that is teething. Don’t have to worry about the toy coming apart and our pup can sooth their new teeth coming in. All other toys are for playing this is specifically for teething but fun enough to play with. Other teething options out there are super hard and can’t be used for playing. Best of both worlds. Need to keep an eye on weight limit or 50 lbs with our gsp as he grows older.
