I ordered the Peanut Butter Scented. Finally a rope our 1 year old Lab has not destroyed in 24 hours. It is definitely durable. He has tried to chew it apart but has not been able to. The only thing is there does not seem to be any scent to it and he seems to get bored with it. I will most likely purchase a second one but not in the same scent.
I guess this thing smells pretty dang good to my dogs. They never really showed much interest in scented rubber things before so I never gave it a second thought but a friend got them one of these and they really enjoy it. It's good for playing tug as well. Seems to be sort of durable but the dogs do rip out a lot of the threads and you have to be careful they don't swallow them or you could have a blockage problem on your hands. That's the one down side to this.
Highly recommend. My one lab destroys everything with a rope and this is something that can tug a war with and has last months!!
I have bought 2 large ones for my 74 pound male lab. First one lasted over a year. The second one I just got yesterday is already chewed in half. The rope was built stronger and bigger last year. Would not recommend this for a dog that is a real chewer.
Our dog loved it, but we let him chew on it too much and he managed to pull off threads and swallow them. Great for supervised tug play though.
Under 10 minutes from having and was already shredding it. Our chocolate lab is toy motivated not food and is an egressive chewer, toys don’t stand a chance with him! I think if you didn’t have aggressive chewer this rope would probably hold up, but advertised to be for tough chewers.
I ordered the medium for my 10 lb puppy. The width is fine, but it’s definitely not long enough to avoid their teeth when trying to grab the rope
Definitely not touch toy. Knots came out quickly. I have a chaweenie 8 year old adopted. Just started having toys. He don't play rough kinda tosses and chews. Knots came out right away. Had to retie several times. Very small even the medium size. Maybe the large size is tougher. Don't wast money. It's very thin rope and frilly on ends falls apart quickly. I've bought 5 toys from chewy. None so far last. Either expensive or very cheap made. Don't smell like/taste like peanut butter. Better off going to pet store and picking out the right one. That way you know what you are getting before you pay.
Bought a large for a heavy chewer lasted 2 days. Not tough at all
My 10 lb mini dachshund who usually ruins any toy in one day has loved this for many months now. YAY! Also you can throw it in the washer/dryer if it gets too gross and comes out looking good.
