Unfortunately, I don't think there's a viable solution for this problem on that market yet. We bought this regardless of the lackluster reviews just to see for ourselves. Well, they were right. These don't stay clipped in the window when using it and we don't want to risk scratching off our tint. We also don't want to use 3M strips on our brand new car...kind of defeats the purpose of protecting our car door if we're just sticking glue right on it. We could have rigged these to work because the suction cup did stick at the very least. However, we didn't purchase a DIY kit, we expected a working product, so we'll be returning these.
Product fit the back doors of my Tundra okay. Appears to be of quality mateiral. Didn't want to put the "sticky" pads on my doors though. Was concerned they could leave marks when I go to sell my vehicle in the future. So I went and bought 2 more clear suction cups similar to the one that came on the cover and spaced them along the top. I then sewed on loops to attach the suction cups to. So I now have 3 suction cups which hold each cover onto the door. Won't be able to open the windows but that works for me.
Just installed these in our truck and they cover almost all of the doors in our extended cab. Only dislike is that you can’t roll down windows with the product installed.
I bought these for my suv a few months back then bought a 2nd for my car. They slip right into the window track and protect the whole door! Love these!
My dog loves to have the window open while riding in the car. She also drools so she was wrecking the inside door panel. This cover solves that problem. The only thing I dislike is you can't put the window up or down if you can it attached with the clips that fit between the window and the door. I'm going to not use the clips, just the velcro so I can adjust the window.
Sturdy and good, I bought two different kinds not sure which one would work. And this brand worked well. The material is sturdy the dogs can’t scratch up your leather doors. The metal clasps stay well. If you roll your windows up and down repeatedly they will slightly come up, but It’s very slight, and the cover stay in place They stayed up for our entire trip And we have two large dogs.
Doesn’t fit into the window slots and the suction cup broke off on my door and is now stuck in the door mechanism ruining my window. Cheaply made I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone with a sedan and regret every buying this.
One of my dog gets excited when in the car and people walk by and scratches at the doors....these car door covers seem to work.
Velcro tape doesn't hold. Fell off both doors within an hour
