Crunchy not Chewy

I bought these thinking they would be the same consistency of other cod skins we’ve gotten in the past, but they were very brittle and easily broken. I stepped on

I bought these thinking they would be the same consistency of other cod skins we’ve gotten in the past, but they were very brittle and easily broken. I stepped on one by accident and it shattered into small, sharp pieces. The ones we’ve gotten in the past were able to be chewed and peeled without breaking, giving my dog something to gnaw on for a bit. These ones break immediately when bit, so he just eats them in seconds like a normal treat.

I had previously purchased the smaller pieces in a bag. All the dogs loved them so I tried the larger pieces in the plastic tube. My dogs are seniors and they had difficulty chewing the larger pieces I managed to break off. Equally well liked but for seniors I would say the smaller pieces work better.

When I started watching my golden retriever girl’s weight after her spay, I counted calories across her diet and was shocked at the wallop of some of our regular treats. This one is now in our regular rotation because she adores them and they easily fit into her daily calories. They also provide helpful omegas. These are high quality and generously sized, and it’s a big bag so it lasts a good while at one per day.. We have ordered over and over.
