Split Deer Antler
This antler was very small, and I have a big female pitbull. She chewed it for a few days and it started to get REALLY small, so I took it from her. She has almost choked to death on an antler that got tiny. I am disappointed that it was not larger, it looked bigger in the photo.
Ehhhhh don't recommend for price
I want to start off by saying I'm a very loyal and consistent customer of Chewy for the past 6 years.. I've bought elk and deer antlers from this site many times and this bone marrow deer antler that was $15... I thought they would be a decent size... it's not. They cut it in quarters..not half. My dogs LOVE them but wow are they small. I almost think the price is worth it because it has finally kept my house quiet with a 7 month old lad and a 7 year old lab mix. But I can't fathom paying $30 every month for these things... chewy, please see this and notice the charge for this small amount is not good..
Not as expected
It is always hard buying these antlers online and sight unseen. I want the full antler and this came split in half. I am nervous my dog will chew in half and splinter so thats the only reason I like the full antler.
antler chews not what they used to be
Beware. These are the length advertised but are split into quarters. Not what I was expecting at all.
A real hit for my chewer.
My rescue was chewing was chewing and eating branches and mulch from the yard. I tried several chewing options for her and the antlers did the trick. Only caution is that sometimes she splinters off sharp pieces while chewing. I have to be vigilant and discard these pieces. One lasts her about a week before it gets too small which I feel is unsafe, so I discard that piece as well.
Teething Puppy
This came as a really nice piece of antler. My pup is teething like crazy. He loves cutting his teeth on this.
Not as expected
I've purchased these many times but the last couple of times, they are on the shortest end of the range in length and not as thick. Price has increased dramatically too and now not worth the price.
One of the hardest split antler
My pup didn't enjoy this split antler much as it was very hard to chew on. first day she started chewing for a bit and that's pretty much it. She doesn't go for that antler anymore and she had barely chewed the antler. The ones i used to get earlier were somewhat soft marrow which she could chew through. Not very happy with this purchase. hope the next order would have a softer split antler.
For the cost..
The length of the antler is as advertised. There is not much actual marrow on the antler I received. Pup still chews and enjoys it, but for $5 more you can definitely get a meatier one. Picture is after 1 day of chewing.
Split Deer Antler
This antler is not as good as others I have gotten through Chewy; I have bought the made in USA ones and have been trying to get some since before Christmas 2021 but keep getting the message that they are unavailable & no longer carried by Chewy -- but they are still on the site!! If they aren't available at all -- take them off the list please!
