Does the middle cushion come out for easier washing or do you have to put the entire thing in the wash?

I think this is well made and my dog does like it, although it's a little snug. I liked the idea of the high back because it would make her feel more secure, but

Not well made

Upon opening the bed, my Boston Terrier took it to her crate. The piping at the edge pulled apart, exposing the internal padding. This happened in 10 seconds

Upon opening the bed, my Boston Terrier took it to her crate. The piping at the edge pulled apart, exposing the internal padding. This happened in 10 seconds. If I launder it, the stuffing will come out. I'll have to sew it up before use. I purchased 3 of these for my furry children. I'm hoping this is just a fault in one of them. You'll be hearing from me if it isn't.
