If your pet is unaccustomed to this product, serve in a limited quantity initially. Recommended size is slightly larger than your pet's mouth. Feed your dog responsibly and provide plenty of fresh water at all times.

The University of Illinois, a leading veterinary college, conducted a Digestibility Study of pork skin in 2012. The study provided in vitro results showing pork skin was 99.93% digested at the end of a 24 - hour period. Since at the end of 24 hours Pork Chomps are almost fully digested, we feel comfortable recommending 1 chew per 24 hour period.

FAQ

Do Pork Chomps help maintain oral health?

Yes! When your dog chews on Pork Chomps, the chewing action scrapes away plaque, controls tartar buildup and helps stimulate gums. This diminishes bad breath, keeps teeth whiter and reduces the risk of potentially serious dental problems.

Are Pork Chomps safer than rawhide?

Made of baked pork skin, Pork Chomps are easy to digest. Dogs who chew Pork Chomps have a much lower risk of developing gastrointestinal problems than dogs who chew rawhide. Pork chomps also contain none of the harsh chemicals found in many rawhide chews.

Are Pork Chomps messy?

Pork Chomps are very clean dog chews. Dogs don’t just chew them - they eat them - leaving behind no slimy pieces to clean up. The majority of Pork Chomps dog chews do not stain, with the exception of the roasted varieties.

Is it safe for dogs to ingest Pork Chomps?

Yes, in moderation. Pork Chomps are easy to digest. They break down more readily than rawhide. With any dog chew, however there is a risk of large pieces getting caught on the way down, so always supervise your pet to minimize the risk of choking.

Why aren’t Pork Chomps made in the United States?

We developed Pork Chomps after our extensive veterinary study affirmed pork skin to be a safe alternative to rawhide. When we looked at China we found answers that made sense for our product. China processes their pork skin in a unique way that specifically fits the Pork Chomps patented process. China continues to make high standards of quality a priority. • Another Win From Pork Chomps

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

My 1.5 year old Rough Collie loves the plain, rolled Pork Chomps, but I was looking to give her a variety in her chews, so I ordered these roasted “donuts.” She *loves* them! I gave her one before a grooming session, and she happily chewed on and licked it, allowing me to brush out her whole coat. Anyone with a double-coated dog knows how long and how much effort it takes to complete grooming, and my Winnie was distracted by this apparently- delicious treat THE WHOLE TIME! (It smells wonderful - like barbecued chicken). Also, though they’re basted, they haven’t stained our very light colored carpet. 10/10 recommend these, and I’ll be adding them to my auto ship.

  • Well, maybe ...

We loved the fact she couldn't gobble it down within 15 minutes, as is usually the case. She carried it around for several days, but then as she got it softened she ate in one sitting and didn't feel good for a couple days after. She says, "order again, mom!"

  • an O.k. rawhide

    By on Top 500 Contributor

If your dog isn't a large-sized powerful chewing dog, than this might be the treat for your dog. It doesn't last long with my pup.

My dogs love these bones. They’re easy for them to carry. They spend hours chewy on these. They’ve lasted a long time.

  • Disappointed

    By on

These Chomps were just plain NASTY. I was excited to get these since my Frenchie loves this donut type shaped bone. The smell is so repulsive. One lick and my home smelled like burning pig on a fire pit. Unfortunately, I ordered 2 . I gave them away with a warning.

  • Won't buy again

    By on

I picked up one of these at a store for my Border Collie. He sniffed it and walked away. So I gave it to my other dog, who will chew on anything that is for dogs to chew on. She walked away from it too. So here it sits. I liked the idea of no rawhide, but if they won't chew on it, what good is it!

  • Something To Trip Over

    By on

My puppy is a chewer and he won't touch this thing so it lays in the living room for everyone to trip over. He will sniff it and walk away. I am going to donate it to another dog
