Not good for Gerbils

I am a newer owner of gerbils and they chewed the plastic ladders and platforms. The wheels are super small and they do not offer tubing that is replaceable. The tubing also doesn't work with other tubing brands. It feels cheap and is a pain to build and clean. I would avoid wasting your money on this cage.

I bought this cage for my male Syrian hamster Simon. He loves the cage and he enjoys how much space he has to play. I did have to buy a larger wheel for him because the wheels provided are way too small. But other than the wheels everything else is working perfectly.

Not the cage if you have a chewer

My little guy chewed through the plastic ramps, levels and house in a matter of days. If you have a chewers DO NOT get this cage. I have already had to buy another, non plastic, cage. Apparently plastic was more appealing than his wood, which he usually goes for.

So fun! Small hiccup

I love this cafe. It was not easy for me to put together but I did it! Our Russian dwarf loves it! Definitely for small hamsters. Syrians would never fit in the tubes. If you don’t use those this will work for them. It does feel a tad flimsy but I think it works very well. Not enough tubing comes with this to work the way it’s shown. I recommend getting just 2 more straight or curved pieces.

Not recommended

I have a Syrian hamster and the cage is too small. The base is not deep enough for burrowing. I have a 9in wheel and it only fits on the top because of how small the cage is. The tubes at one point came apart and my hamster almost got out. Prevue has better cages and I purchased another one that has a deeper base.

Fun Enclosure

I very much like the configuration of this enclosure. You can easily observe your pet's activities. I wish there was an opening between the 3rd and 4th floors as it would make cleaning easier. The enclosure tubes are a bit tedious to assemble. Overall, my mouse and I are very satisfied.

Small and flimsy

This cage is not big enough for hamsters or guinea pigs but would work for gerbils, dwarf hamsters, and small mice. Sadly it is way too flimsy to house an of those. You will find our self having to be the cage to make it work and then bending it in other places to fill the gaps created by the poor construction. Nothing lines up properly and the wheels included are the smallest of small available so if you have a medium or large wheel for your hamster it will not fit. The second shelf interferes with the door making it extremely unstable. overall when you pay 80 bucks you expect something of decent quality, as you can get better quality in this price range elsewhere.

If i could return this item, I would. The sides are so low, the hamster pees outside the cage. The ladders are always coming off, and the levels are CONSTANTLY falling down and tilting preventing my hamster to climb the levels. This is a cheaply made cage for the price you pay.Not happy at all.

Happy Hamster

My hamster is in love with his cage! He is not depressed and likes to run around his cage all the time. He likes to climb and has so much room for his toys and houses.
